“Can't wait to come back to our Mexican home away from home”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 April 2014

We have been to SMA 10 times and have stayed each time at Las Terrazas. We are going back again in a few days and the excitement of being in the town and especially of staying at our beautiful Mexican home is overwhelming. I can't possibly begin to tell you how wonderful this place is. The owners, Murray and Greg are amazing; we have become personal friends. Kathi, the manager, is just unbelievable. We love her and her lovely dogs. When you stay here, you feel that you are in your own beautiful home with every amenity you can think of plus a scrumptious breakfast delivered. The property is gracious, the location can't be beat, it is more than comfortable and very clean and well-appointed. Everyone is helpful and so friendly. My husband and I are looking forward to our 11th trip and you will feel the same way if you stay here.

Room Tip: We stay in Casa Mariposa but each casa is wonderful and you can't go wrong with any of the 3 of...

We've just returned from our third stay at Las Terrazas. The on-site manager, Kathi, couldn't be more welcoming and helpful every step of the way, (she's also an amazing flower arranger!). The beautiful location is a mere ten minutes walk from the Jardin, with attractive restaurants and shops along the way. The market is also within a short walking distance. You get daily excellent housekeeping services with Mati at the helm. We've stayed in both Mariposa and Colibri which were equally pleasant and comfortable. We can't wait to go back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, private refuge in San Miguel.

This was a fantastic place to stay. It was beautiful, close to the center of town (walking distance), very clean, all amenities, very courteous, and wonderful/friendly service. We were greeted by the owner and staff who were very accommodating. The suite was perfect. We had a living room, dining room ,kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, etc. that was superbly furnished. The views from the patio and windows were breathtaking. I would not hesitate to go there again and hope to do so in the not too distant future.

Room Tip: All the casas were beautiful.

This was our first time in San Miguel and it was perfect! Las Terrazas is an amazingly beautiful property. We stayed in Casa Mariposa which is a lovely and wonderful one-bedroom suite that is so comfortable that it is like home. We were warmly greeted by Murray who is the owner and Kathy who is the property manager. Both made us feel so welcome after a long day of travel. Las Terrazas is in a perfect location as it is a few blocks from the center of San Miguel. So walking into town was easy and we could take advantage of the many wonderful things to do in San Miguel. The staff at Las Terrazas arranged everything for us from day tours to rides to/from the airport in Leon. We didn't have to be concerned with any of these details. We can't say enough great things about our time at this beautiful place. It was magical and we would certainly return to Las Terrazas for our next trip to San Miguel. Yes, there will be another trip, hopefully in the near future.

Room Tip: We stayed in Casa Mariposa but all the Casas on the Las Terrazas property are incredible. Our suite...

Through all our travels Las Terrazas has been the most accomadating, cleanest, and beautiful place we have ever stayed. It was one of our travel companions 80th birthday and we were to all meet in Houston and fly together to Leon for the private car Kathi the manager had set up for us. Unfortunetly, we missed our connecting flight and half our party ended up going on a different flight. In a panic at the airport we connected with Kathi at Las Terrazas and she notified the driver and called and told us not to worry and all transports have been arranged. Kathi greeted the parents on arrival and even had food and a bottle of wine, since it was later so they did not have to venture out by themselves for dinner. She set up another driver to pick us up when we finally arrived and greeted us at the door too. To place one call at the airport and have everything set up on the other end was so helpful in a very stressful situation. The place is elequently decorated and the private patios are wonderful for a glass of wine after a day of hiking around the city. It was perfectly located walking distance from the city center with shops and restaurants close by. Breakfast was delicious and brought freash every day while we were out. We would definately go back and stay at Las Terrazas again and I am highly recommending to all family and friends.

I have been to Las Terrazas three times and can't imagine staying anywhere else. Your stay begins with a personal greeting from the manager...no matter the hour of arrival....who is so warm welcoming. A friend and I stayed in Casa Grillo which is perfect for a family or couple traveling together. The casitas are beautifully appointed and each one enjoys its own personal garden and patio. Beautiful flowers and plants adorn the property and they immediately awaken your senses to the color and beauty of San Miguel. Las Terrazas is located in the historical district and just three blocks to the Jardin, shopping and wonderful restaurants. Kathi, the manager, has the wonderful gift of getting to know guests and recommending just the right spot for eating, shopping or expedition....and is happy to make reservations and arrange transportation if required. I highly recommend Las Terrazas and if you stay here you too will experience the magic!

Room Tip: All three casitas are beautifully appointed and will not disappoint.

Everything was exactly right with this bed & breakfast. Location is perfect for walking out the door and experiencing the historical section of San Miguel. Shops, restaurants and sights right there. The Casas are beautifully appointed and spacious. Breakfast options plentiful. Having the resident manager from the States means that you will have no difficulty getting everything you need (including excursion bookings). You can't go wrong with this choice.
