Needed something special to take to a pot-luck celebration at the home of Warren Hardy of language school fame. Jorge, the chef owner, at La Casa de la Conservas suggested a paella and what a glorious paella he created - huge shrimp, mussels, and clams. Truly delicious and rave reviews from everyone at the pot luck.
Since then we have ordered stuffed peppers and gazpacho. The food is exceptionally fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Great resource for a dinner party or catered event.
Food should be ordered a day in advance and can be taken home or eaten in the lovely courtyard. While we have enjoyed many wonderful restaurant meals in San Miguel, it's special to spend a relaxed evening at home with a delicious meal prepared by a good chef. A wide variety of jams and cheeses are also available.
And Jorge's mother is a delight! Do stop by Hernandez Macias 29 - the aromas will tempt you!
