Walked over to the Fountainhead from Beer. I had two pints of perfect Branoc and fish and chips.(I have posted a picture of my meal it tasted as good as it looks.) This is a fantastic pub. I got very, very wet walking back to Beer without waterproofs but it was worth it.

My wife and I ate twice here last week whilst staying at Branscombe and enjoyed very good meals on both occasions including a tasty pork curry off the specials board costing a mere £8 washed down with a couple of pints of the excellet local brew "Branoc". Helpful barman held the door open so i could get a wheelchair out, well worth a visit.

We first visited this pub on a very rainy day after a long walk and loved it. Having come back on several occasions for music events we have been disappointed.

Parking can be tricky here but try to stop. It's fairly basic inside with simple country furniture. Good local beers are available including beer from the Branscombe Brewery. The menu offers a range of good quality and reasonably priced food e.g. Homemade burger with chips and salad £6, chilli with garlic bread £7.50, Devon cheese board £6.50. There's a smallish seperate restaurant and the service was excellent and attentive throughout our visit. Dog friendly.
