As a result of reviews on T/A We decided to try Masons Arms for a two night stay and was very pleased with our choice, The village is a delight and the Staff very friendly and welcoming our cottage room was well equipped and comfortable with a big bath separate shower and Bidet.
The Bar is very atmospheric and Dinning options include bar or restaurant as we were there for two nights we tried both and enjoyed well cooked and presented dishes all in all a very pleasant stay made extra special by the very kind weather

My wife and I plus our dog enjoyed a stay at the Masons Arms for one night including dinner.
Made extremely welcome at reception and apparently received an upgraded room. Lovely colonial double bed, well furnished room with plenty of chairs and space. Bathroom just upgraded with excellent facilities including bath and separate shower cubicle. Whole place absolutely spotless.

Dinner in the bar (dogs not allowed in the restaurant) was excellent. Given a great table in an alcove that fitted us and the dog brilliantly. Food was delicious and plenty of it, sadly couldn't manage a pudding as well. Otter beer kept and served very well, really nice pint. Service was good and efficient. A very nice evening.

Breakfast was also excellent, again in the bar.

Overall excellent service with a smile, really clean and comfortable, good food and drink, plenty of parking and a delightful village and walk to the sea. I will be delighted if I can get back to stay again.

Room Tip: We had number 5 cottage.

Myself and my partner visited The Masons Arms on Sunday 9th of March and enjoyed the best roast lunch we have ever eaten. We arrived 10 minutes before the time our table was booked for, and we were shown to a lovely table in the window. We both ordered the roast Lamb, which was delivered to the table quickly by a polite, very efficient waitress (Chelsea). The lamb was perfectly cooked, as were the roast potatoes and the vegetables. The gravy was flavoursome and simply lovely.

The bar staff were also friendly and efficient, as were the managers.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch, it was definitely worth the trip across from Honiton amd we would recommend it to anyone! Well done, Masons Arms.

Amazing sunny day, so decided to treat ourselves to lunch, and so pleased we chose Branscombe for our first day out of the year! Village is beautiful, beach, walks and views are lovely, and lunch at the Masons Arms was the icing on the cake!

Really friendly atmosphere, attentive and courteous staff and a great meal. Our dog had a great day too! We'll definitely be returning, hopefully with more time on our hands to explore the village and to have dinner as well as lunch :)

Room Tip: Book a table in advance!

I heard that this pub was a good place to eat, but was very disappointed. It is extremely expensive for what you get and I did not think it was anything special. It is in a picturesque place but did not do it for me.

Room Tip: Did not stay in the hotel and only had lunch. The prices were very steep for what you get - maybe b...
