Due to unfortunate circumstances I had to book into Balliemeanoch at the last minute. What a lucky find,it is slightly out of the way but not by much and to be honest the surrounding area is open fields with a fantastic view with no traffic noise it was the best three nights sleep I have had in years. This place is spotless your hosts Charlie and Angela are two of the nicest and most genuine people I have met in a long time. The breakfast is so fresh (the eggs were still in the chicken the night before) and well cooked no grease and my only complaint was that I was not there long enough to have all the choices available but I will have the kippers charlie the next time I am there. When I filled in the guest book on leaving I wrote a comment I have only ever written once before "IF YOU ARE READING THIS YOU ALREADY KNOW HOW FANTASTIC THIS PLACE IS" My last recomendation is to have your evening meals at the Balliemeanoch

We stayed for 2 nights ( 20 & 21 May) at Balliemeanoch B&B and enjoyed every minute. The B&B is situated well back from the roads and a great sleep is assured, a very good breakfast and a fine well equipped bedroom make the stay very enjoyable. There is a further project in the pipeline which I hope comes good and we certainly hope this couple do really well , they deserve to.

Picked us up from 2 miles away in their car, gave us a fantastic evening meal of homemade soup, homemade chips and filled baguettes all on very short notice (we hadn't booked). Excellent rooms and bathroom, very comfortable night's sleep, roaring fire in the living room, top notch breakfast (just about everything locally sourced or homemade). Hosts very warm and welcoming! Set the four of us up perfectly for the third stage of the Cowal Way, which is literally right at the end of their drive!

We highly recommend staying here, no matter what the occasion!

We recently stayed at this B&B and were delighted. Clean, picturesque and perfect service. After a day's walking in the rolling hills, you couldn't ask for more: comfortable bed and roaring fire. The breakfast was super too. Hosts were very attentive. And it is nice to stay on such a peaceful croft. Recommended as a base for outdoor local pursuits.

The Bailliemeanoch farmhouse has all the mod cons one could wish for: beautiful location next to the forest, fantastic view from the bedroom window, super comfy beds, quality linens, spotlessly clean room, TV and Wi-Fi and a powerful shower which is bliss after a long day walking. The hosts Angela and Charlie are so welcoming and helpful - my friend and I felt so relaxed staying here that we wanted to extend our stay. We will definitely come back for another visit. Also, I have to mention the cooked breakfast...DELICIOUS! Perfectly cooked, fresh quality ingredients and substantial! I loved the freshly baked bread and home made jams. This B&B really is fantastic value for money.
