“Beautiful house with spectacular views”

I stayed at the house with my family in June. If was big enough for all of us and we all had our own bathroom which was great. The house has spectacular views over the loch and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony relaxing.
You really need a car if you plan to visit the surrounding area.

Really delighted to hear that you thoroughly enjoyed your holiday at Ardfyne and that the weather was good enough for you to enjoy the views, especially from the upstairs seating area that is becoming a firm favourite with all of our guests.
Although the local shop/café/post office and pontoon are just minutes walk from the house we do recommend to all our guests that they hire a car to explore everything that this beautiful area has to offer.

From start to finish we found Ardfyne just picture perfect. The location was ideal, the house itself was very spacious and well set out. Very clean and tidy and the upstairs hall area and balcony provided a relaxing end to the day with spectacular views - just as advertised. We have taken holiday homes (with family) for several years now and Ardfyne comes out on top of our Scotland holiday homes list. I would not contemplate going anywhere else in the area in future and will be giving strong recommendations to all my friends and family. Do not miss out on this gem if thinking of a holiday home in the area.

“extra-ordinary holiday home with surreal views”
Reviewed 8 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

To begin with we would like to say a massive thank you to the owners for allowing us to stay at the Ardfyne holiday home. We enjoyed a peaceful and private stay where we could relax and spend a fully filled enjoyable weekend away. The facilities were fantastic and we were provided with everything we needed and more. Our party enjoyed the sitting area upstairs where we could chill-out and take in the stunning views. This was our favourite part of the house. It was also a delight to stand out on the balcony and listen to all the nature. Ardfyne is modernly decorated and furnished beautifully. A small shop is a very short distance away -which was handy- as well as the loch which was directly across from the house. We spent a full day at loch fyne where we paddled, spotted muscles, whelks, sea urchins and crabs. The weather was also reasonably warm which added to a fun day out. Overall our stay at Ardfyne was brilliant we are definitely considering returning sometime next year.

“Fabulous Facility”

Took our Mother and Uncle who are both disabled for a short break. Although both managed with assistance to use bedrooms up stairs hand rail on both sides of stairs would have been beneficial. There is a bedroom downstairs with bathroom just outside the room however there is no walk in shower for disabled people downstairs. We loved the sitting area upstairs looking out at the fabulous views and enjoyed our morning cuppa in this area every morning. Simple grab rails in the bathroom downstairs and a walk in shower downstairs would make this a fabulous disabled facility. If we had been without our disabled family members would have had nothing but praise for the facility All the party on the short break loved it

Delighted to hear that you all had a great holiday. Ardfyne is not specially adapted for disabled guests. However, the ground floor is fully accessible for wheelchair/disabled guests. There is a ground floor bedroom and bathroom with easy access to the games room, kitchen, sitting and dining room.

“Beautiful house with stunning views over Loch Fyne”
Reviewed 9 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

My family and I stayed in Ardfyne over the New Year period. We had a lovely holiday with plenty of space for all of us. We had two 14 year old boys with us who enjoyed sitting in the gallery area where the views were stunning and we also enjoyed the games room. The house had everything we needed for a fantastic holiday and the bedroom downstairs was perfect for my 88 year old mother-in-law. At the bottom of the hill the two boys had a morning fishing from the new pontoon while I walked along the shore. Both the Creggans Inn and the Clachan Inn are about a 20 minute walk from the house and a 30 minute drive took us to either Inverary or Dunoon. The house is perfect and we would love to return on another occasion.

Great to hear that you all loved Ardfyne and that the New Year weather allowed you to explore the area.I hope that you managed to sample the scones and cakes in the Baycroft tearoom just 5 minutes walk from the house.
Would love to welcome you and your family back this year. Look forward to that.
