We stayed at this beautiful house for a week to celebrate my husbands 60th we had kids 3-7-12 and they all found plenty to do The gardens were great Good for playing in Weather was mixed but we had a good BBQ one day It had a great positioned peir Which my husband used every day ! He was in his glory lol the kids all had a go at the fishing a great bounous It had a very well equipped kitchen We did bring most is our stuff and eat out a few times Was lovely being able to all sit 10 of us round table The shop which you can walk to (better with car) is expensive but great for things you forget , I would say the only draw back is it said disabled access But that's it ! Downstairs bedroom great size bathroom But no shower !!! I managed twice upstairs for a shower and sat at the stunning view glass balcony I didn't want to leave it was amazing All in we had a fantastic time even managed a pamper girlie day lol And would love to go back .
We have had a great week staying in the large, comfortable well equipped house with 5 adults and 5 children. Superb views across the loch and great fishing off the pontoon with just a £5 weekly permit from the Post Office. We would certainly recommend this accommodation and would love to return one day.
Enjoyed our stay at beautiful Ardfyne House on Loch Fyne, Strachur. Spacious, well equipped, spotlessly clean and superb views. Upstairs lounge and balcony provided amazing sunsets over the loch. Didn't want to leave!!!!!
The house is perfect for large groups with 3 ensuites and a family bathroom so no queues in the morning and everyone has their own space. Lots of room in the kitchen and dining room and the upstairs lounge has a breathtaking view from the balcony over Loch Fyne. All mod cons, very relieved there was a dishwasher! Instructions and access on arrival were clear and simple. If the weather is kind the garden is lovely and a BBQ provided.
The house is well located with a local shop/tea room/bistro just a short walk away. The Creggans Inn - 15 min walk or 5 min drive does lovely food if you fancy a meal out. Absolute must-see is Puck's Glen, you need to have decent mobility but you can go in all weathers, it's a truly magical walk of waterfalls, ferns and twisted trees. Stop off after at Benmore Botannical Gardens for lunch or tea and cake.
Thanks to Ella for her help and information when booking. I would definitely recommend!
Nine of us (4 generations), and two dogs, had a wonderful family break away for a week at Ardfyne, My parents used the ground floor bedroom and bathroom (stairs are a problem for them) and three comfortable bedrooms upstairs with en suites were perfect for the remaining three couples (and our little granddaughter). Dogs loved the secure garden. Beautiful, spacious and well appointed house. Great location with wonderful views and plenty to keep us occupied. Hope to return next year.
