“Superb Hotel and Dining Experience in beautiful North Devon.”
Reviewed 29 April 2014

My wife and I spent 2 nights at Kentisbury Grange from 26th - 28th April and from the moment we arrived we received all the attention and assistance we could have wanted. The room was beautiful and the huge bathroom was so luxurious it took your breathe away when you first opened the door. We ate dinner in The Coach House restaurant, across the courtyard, and were served really great food by lovely efficient friendly staff. A really wonderful experience.
The location couldn't be better for touring North Devon especially when the weather is good.

Room Tip: We had Suite 9 and it was really beautiful.

My husband and I stayed at the Kentisbury Grange from the 1st – 3rd April 2014. The quality they have put into the Grange is incredible in every detail, The rooms are spacious and luxurious. Every detail has been clearly thought out and delivered to a very high standard.

The Grange is set in beautiful surrounding with lodges scattered within its grounds, There is a Coach House Restaurant, which has been awarded two AA Rosettes, is worth taking dinner in.

The service we received was superb from start to finish The staff were friendly, attentive and very professional, catering for our every need.

We stayed at The Grange for a second time recently, and it was superb. From the moment you arrive you will feel relaxed and made to feel most welcome. The rooms are amazing, we had room 6 this time and prefer slightly to room 1. There is no expense spared in terms of decor and furniture, including a lovely coffee machine in every room. You even get some freshly made biscuits by the chef. The heated bathroom floor is one of our favourite touches.

As for the Coach House restaurant, we are amazed each time we visit, this was our third time here. The menu has been different each time adding excitement and variation. The Mutton dressed with Lamb was so delicious I hope it remains for our next visit!

We really can't describe how much we love the grange, we're even staying here over the weekend of our wedding!

From the moment you drive through the entrance at Kentisbury Grange , you begin to relax. The building itself has a very comforting and homely feeling , not at all intimidating and that is mostly down to the staff who are very willing, friendly & professional. Myself and my partner stayed in the honeymoon suite which was just exquisite. The Bed, the decor, The Cleanliness was just outstanding and was topped off with a magnificent view of the north devon country side. Although it was only a short visit it was definitely one to remember and we will be returning very soon.

We had a really restorative and enjoyable weekend. Arriving late on Friday night, we were shattered after a long week at work. The staff were however extremely friendly and welcomed us to our beautiful room. They showed genuine interest, were particularly personable and nothing was ever too much throughout the whole weekend.
I cannot complement the Kentisbury enough. Our room was beautiful, very clean and luxurious too (only bonus would be bubbles for use in the roll-top bath as I didn't think to pack any!).
The food was also delicious- we ate, on the Saturday night, in their restaurant.

There’s only one word that slipped off my tongue in every sentence the whole weekend… BEAUTIFUL.

From the moment we arrived and got greeted in the car park by Sanjeev who dropped everything to greet us, shown personally around the site and our lodge upon check-in by Karen, our stay from start to finish was the most enjoyable break in the most stunning location.
Every thought had been catered for in our waterfront Lodge, from bathrobes in every room, plenty of towels in each bathroom, body lotion and mouthwash to baskets with extra dishwasher tabs & bin liners etc. If we had food we could have locked ourselves away in the lodge without needing a thing for the whole break.

When it comes to food I'd highly recommend dining in The Coach House, the on-site Michelin star restaurant. The food was divine and the staff were all such a delight and a credit to Kentisbury Grange and all were also there to greet us with smiles on their faces for breakfast.

Just down the road we visited Lynton and Lynmouth within the Exmoor National Park noted for its ‘breath taking natural beauty and unspoilt landscape’… I can only agree and didn't want to come home.

I couldn't stop taking photos the whole time… waking up to bright sunshine in February with the on-site peacocks basking in the sunshine in front of our lodge.

Highly recommend for both romantic breaks and family getaways.

Room Tip: All the lodges appeared to be waterfront with stunning views, so you'll never get a lodge that’s...
