Stayed at Decoy Barn for a friends wedding at nearby Fritton House. A lot of potential "refugees" unable to stay at the latter will have to fight to find other places to stay in the immediate locality and Decoy Barn is probably your best bet in the area if that is the case.
Karen and Paul are congenial hosts and helpful sorting stuff out as they did for us arriving later than expected on the Friday night and looking to get eat etc.
Rooms are purpose built off the garden in a former barn arrangement. They're not huge but big enough with a luxury bathroom. There are tables outside each room which are nice to sit out on ( weather permitting obviously).
Breakfasts were good and large portions with most accompaniments you might want.
The road off which the B and B is sited is quite busy and you do here it but it's not the end of the world.

I'd have to dock Decoy Barn one star if I'm being objective and this would be for the fact that it seems when everyone is using the facilities ie showers there is a finite amount of hot water. We were hoping to have ours before leaving for the wedding at around 1430 but there was no hot water whatsoever! According to friends who had stayed there before this was not an isolated incident. So maybe get up earlier to ensure a non Gordonstonesque experience!

Dear Guest,
Thank you for taking the time to review Decoy Barn B&B.
We are sorry to learn of the problems you experienced with the power shower.
All our guests that weekend were attending the same wedding and all required to get ready and shower at around the same time in the afternoon. We are unable to control the amount of time guests spend in the shower or the amount of hot water being used, and being the hottest day of the year so far the power showers were obviously a welcome relief!.
When we converted the derelict stables into en-suite bedrooms we made it our priority to provide our guests with power showers and enough hot water for everyone by purchasing the largest hot water tank available.
We were unaware of the previous occasion you mention and in 7 years of operating Decoy Barn we have not experienced this problem before.
We hope it didn't spoil your stay with us at Decoy Barn and we hope to see you again should you wish to stay in the area in the near future.

I stayed here during the week on business and cannot fault it. Everyone was very helpful and kind and the room was lovely with outside seating available in a lovely garden. I would recommend to anyone visiting this area!

We were touring East Anglia in May and looking for somewhere to stay the night when we found
Decoy Barn. Karen made us very welcome and we felt very fortunate that she had a room available for that night. Decoy Barn was a wonderful place to stay, very comfortable. On arrival Karen made us a pot of tea and we really enjoyed her homemade cake. The bedrooms are on ground level. Our room was very nicely furnished with a lovely patio area outside wth chairs and table. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't quite warm enough to eat our delicious breakfast outside.
We would definately stay there again.

We stayed at Decoy Barn 3rd July 2013 on a visit from Cornwall all the way to Norfolk to collect our new puppy. We received a lovely welcome on arrival with coffee served on the patio right outside our room. The room was lovely, very tastefully done and with extremely comfy beds, a rare treat as so many hotels and the like have very firm (hard) beds. Breakfast was served right at the requested time, beautifully presented with such friendly caring service.
If we go back to Norfolk we would most definitely book Decoy Barn again
Thank you Karen and Paul, you are providing a super service.

We spent a fantastic week at Decoy Barn in May. Karen and Paul are amazing hosts and we became friends and still stay in touch. As a wheelchair user finding a place to stay can be daunting but Karen made everything clear about the facilities. She even bought a shower chair with arms as that best met my needs! The breakfasts were lovely and I soon broke my resolution not to have a cooked breakfast! We came away with wonderful memories of our stay and will return soon. Highly recommended for a relaxing, friendly holiday.

Room Tip: There was no pool or fitness centre so ignore the rating for them-I can't remove them. Room 4 wa...

We recently stayed at Decoy Barn bed and breakfast. On arrival our host Karen made us feel very welcome with tea and cake on our patio. The rooms are spotless, very comfortable and the excellent prepared breakfast choice, extensive. We had an excellent meal one evening locally as recommended and booked in advance for us by Karen. We cannot recommend this bed and breakfast enough!
