We were guests at a wedding reception held at the hotel and stayed overnight. The wedding reception was really well catered for. We felt well looked after and the food was excellent. The staff worked really hard to ensure everything went smoothly. The rooms in the hotel have bags of character, old beams but with a fresh modern boutiquey feel (especially the bathroom). We were also well looked after in the hotel with attentive and helpful staff, and a plentiful breakfast. Thanks for a great stay.

Stayed locally for a week and took family (7 of us) for dinner in hotel restaurant. The food was OK, but that's all it was and it was presented as if it's something special which it is not.

Arrived to a great welcome from the receptionist, the room was large with a comfortable bed and a chaise lounge. Excellent dinner in the restaurant and a great breakfast the next morning. The open water swimming lake was an added bonus with a swim before breakfast. We will return.

I can’t speak highly enough about this hotel. From the warm welcome from the staff, Cheryl, Sam and Juliette in particular to the comfortable beds and the fantastic standard of food. A real find in the woodland park of Fritton Lake with beautiful lake walks. A shabby chic, 9 bedroomed hotel that just wants you going back again and again. I stayed here for 2 weeks recently and was looked after incredibly well by everyone.
The food was outstanding. I know that other guests have commented that it was only continental breakfast served during the week but this has now changed. A fabulous cooked breakfast and several other choices are on offer every morning. The atmosphere in the hotel is relaxed and friendly. I would highly recommend that if anyone is looking for an oasis in the middle of Great Yarmouth or surrounding area with great food, lovely rooms and friendly staff then Fritton House Hotel is the place for you.
It does also offer a great place for children as Fritton Lake Park is just outside the door literally.
I am very much looking forward to returning soon.

Room Tip: Room 1 is beautiful but often offered to bridal parties at the weekend.

Stayed here when in the area on business but the Hotel is perfectly suitable for all purposes. The Hotel is situated in a park area whiich contains a large lake, rowing boats available. The grounds contain a play area for children and small gardens to walk round. The area is quite large and you can walk in the grounds or in the Parkland, trees etc. The Hotel has a country feel and the rooms appear to be different from each other. My room was very spacious with adequate drawer space but no wardrobe (hangers on the wall). The bed was very comfortable and the room decor attractive. A small table with two chairs, chest of drawers, a chaise longue and comfy chair make up the room furniture. A flat screen TV with DVD player was wall hung. The Bathroom again was spacious and had a large central bath with shower attachment but no curtain for a stand up shower. The room was very clean. Breakfast was of the continental style including meat, cheese, yoghurt cereals, fruit, juice, toast. Pleanty to eat. The evening meal is set in a room adjacent to the bar area. I had a Ribeye steak fro £17.95 which included chips and salad. It was succculent. The bar serves a good selection of beers and lager. There is a nice comfortable seating area in the bar. The room price including breakfast was £80 - great value.
