“Left with mixed feelings”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 May 2014 via mobile

We have passed this restaurant many times and always promised ourselves a visit as it seemed to have a great atmosphere. We booked a table and first impressions were good with excellent service valet parking. The hostess and waiters were welcoming and pleasant. We were shown to our table, but had to brush away the debris from the very scruffy, stained cushion on the seats. The seats were hard, and unfortunately only got harder as the evening progressed.

The restaurant is quirky with an interesting interior bar area and a large outdoor dining area. The sand pit is very attractive and fun.

We ordered a ceviche starter to share which was very nice, but the long wait was getting a bit much after 20 minutes. There were only 2 other couples dining. So couldn't understand the wait.

I ordered the curried lamb and my husband the pork. The curry was not up to much but my husband enjoyed his pork very much. So 75/100 for the food.

However the horrible music which was played much too loud, ruined the whole evening for us. We asked who the band was and was told it was something kiss( not of Gene Tierney fame). It was new age, or garage or something like that.... Awful and certainly not appropriate for a restaurant.

We paid the bill and left to escape it!

“excellent food,charming setting, lovely staff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 May 2014

We just had an amazing evening at Peacocks restaurant in Cabo San Lucas. The food was outstanding-appetizers, drinks, main course and dessert. We had the catch of the day for the main course and it was delicious but there were many interesting options on the menu making it hard to choose. We will definitely have to go back! The setting just added to the whole experience- you feel like you are in a lovely oasis: charming, cozy and interesting things to see whichever way you look. After eating we enjoyed an after dinner drink in the comfy sitting area around the fire. The staff were very attentive but not too much-Emilio was especially good.

“Great ambiance and smoky flavors.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 April 2014

The slow cooked, wood fired flavors of this place were excellent. The garden setting and firepit were also lovely. The flavors of everything I ate were delicious and reflected the wood fire. They even smoked lettuce! I look forward to the chance to return!

“Ate there twice for dinner...both excellent”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 April 2014

Dinner was excellent both times...service was great too. The highlights were the sweet corn soup...best ever, the risotto, the suckling pig...of course afterwards we retired to the comfy seats around the fire pit for some deserts. The chocolate lava cake was the best. I did not like the creme brule, but everything else was excellent
