We have passed this restaurant many times and always promised ourselves a visit as it seemed to have a great atmosphere. We booked a table and first impressions were good with excellent service valet parking. The hostess and waiters were welcoming and pleasant. We were shown to our table, but had to brush away the debris from the very scruffy, stained cushion on the seats. The seats were hard, and unfortunately only got harder as the evening progressed.
The restaurant is quirky with an interesting interior bar area and a large outdoor dining area. The sand pit is very attractive and fun.
We ordered a ceviche starter to share which was very nice, but the long wait was getting a bit much after 20 minutes. There were only 2 other couples dining. So couldn't understand the wait.
I ordered the curried lamb and my husband the pork. The curry was not up to much but my husband enjoyed his pork very much. So 75/100 for the food.
However the horrible music which was played much too loud, ruined the whole evening for us. We asked who the band was and was told it was something kiss( not of Gene Tierney fame). It was new age, or garage or something like that.... Awful and certainly not appropriate for a restaurant.
We paid the bill and left to escape it!
