I have been meaning to write my Capella review for some time now and I apologise for the delay!
This resort is breathtaking, from the moment we arrived we were just in awe of the stunning design and position of the resort, Capella is built along the most gorgeous stretch of beach, we had whales breaching and the Mexican sun glistening in front of us every day, this really is a special place.
The hotel and rooms are just luxurious and beautiful, there was nothing more we could have asked for, watching the sunset from your private pool is a lovely way to spend the late afternoon. Lovely bed and amenities, I fell in love with the bath honey and had to bring a pot home, the beach bags are gorgeous and I still use mine back home all the time. The pools are beautiful and glamorous, we spent most of our time just lounging the day away and eating and drinking cocktails. Pool service is fantastic and not over bearing.
The hotel staff were all just absolutely divine and lovely, anything we asked for was done with the utmost kindness. Alan our PA was just so lovely and helpful, it really does make the trip more personable having that direct point of contact for organising things or any questions we had. We had restaurant reservations made immediately at any restaurant we wanted to dine at and everything we wanted...I have been meaning to write my Capella review for some time now and I apologise for the delay!

Alan our PA was just so lovely and helpful, it really does make the trip more personable having that direct point of contact for organising things or any questions we had. We had restaurant reservations made immediately at any restaurant we wanted to dine at and everything we wanted to do was organised with precision. My partner had a very sore foot one day and was walking up from the beach limping and one of the pool staff (We think his name was Alessandro!!??) ran down to help him (almost carry him!) up along the beach back to the hotel grounds, it was the sweetest and kindest thing I have ever seen from hotel staff anywhere. It was touching and we were both just blown away at the level of kindness that comes with the service at Capella. This is the kind of staff that Capella has, caring, kind and always thinking of what they can do next to help you. Not to mention the staff are all always happy and impeccably groomed.
We had our Christmas dinner at El Farallon, which is the most magnificent restaurant perched on the cliffside at the edge of the resort, it would have to be one of the most spectacular spots we have ever dined, magical, just incredible, the freshest seafood ever. We ate in and out of the hotel and everything was wonderful, Don Manuels breakfast every day was just gorgeous.
The resort was just even more gorgeous during the Christmas period with stunning lit up Mexican Christmas trees all over the place...More
