“Rating for the spa only”

The spa at the PBR was a wonderful experience. I find the staff very nice and helpful especially Carlos. Although I have nothing bad to say about the Pueblo Bonita Spa itself the hotel was disappointing.

We have time shares for the PBR but was disappointed with the accommodations our last stay. The ceiling fan feels like it was going to drop on us with the whooshing noise. Our bathroom lamp tilted over and the sheets and lounge cushions were old and out dated. They seriously need to update those lounge chairs. The pool itself always feels slimy against the walls of the pools, I could NOT and would NOT swim in there. We checked into the Casa Dorado the next morning. Very glad because everything is cleaner there. Anyone wants to take over our timeshares? lol.

If they could have leveled the Rose and dropped Sunset Beach there it would be paradise. This hotel hands down has the best location in town and on Medono Beach but has the worst rooms. The Blanco the rooms are even better. Musty smell in all the drawers to the point they were unusable and we had to change rooms once because a/c was not working. We are just used to staying at higher end resorts. That being said, we did not go for the room. This pool is awesome!! Bar on the beach is awesome!! We could not wait for night to come to sit by the beach bar and listen to old rock and role videos being played on the big screen. Only downside was they stopped the music between 9:30 to 10 pm every night.
We always rent a car and make several trips to Walmart, drive into town for shopping or over to Los Cabos area for shopping. I would also suggest going to Todos Santos to see where the a Eagles wrote hotel California. Very neat hotel. Was not scary driving at all. About an hour away.
If we were out at night drinking we always took a cab.
I would defiantely stay at this one or the Blanco when coming back to Cabo. Like I said rooms were clean but just so old it's hard to control the humidity inside. The bed and furniture was fine.
Cabo Wabo is a fun hang out at night. Gets a little too loud for me, can't hear my husband talk so we don't stay long. Honestly we are fine staying at hotel at night watching our big screen by the beach. We never ate there, we always go out for local food. Drinks were ok and wait staff was slow at times.
I would stay here again for sure!

Room Tip: As far away from the office as you can, the rooms with the best ocean view are at the very end of th...

Great vacation overall, and we're so glad we booked all-inclusive. Staying at a resort like Rose that offers both pay-as-you-go and all-inclusive plans is really the best since the quality of the food and drinks is still excellent, but it's all paid for upfront and unlimited! Fellini's Restaurant was better than anything else we had in all of Cabo (including way overpriced/rated Edith's nearby). For only $10/person extra for a truly gourmet-quality 3-4 course meal, we ended up having dinner there multiple times. The room we wanted wasn't available on the day/night of our arrival, but it opened up for the rest of the trip so they were willing to move our luggage for us the next day while we were out exploring. Hotel grounds were well maintained (very large staff).

Ideally there would be some enforcement of a time limit on people leaving towels on chairs to prevent the monopolizing of great spots under the cabanas and umbrellas all day. Also, more available beach umbrellas on-hand would be great since some jerks like to move them UNDER THE CABANA they lucked out in getting! Can't blame the resort though for inconsiderate vacationers.

Beach servers were very prompt and attentive, and we never waited longer than a few minutes to get served at the bars or restaurants. WiFi is spotty (like most nearby hotels), but at least it's free in certain parts of the resort. Having full all-inclusive access the neighboring Blanco hotel meant we had double the food/drink options, and double the areas to rest and relax! Definitely one of the best value (and comfort) vacations we've ever had in Mexico.

Room Tip: Top floor, low number (i.e. 6003, 6005) rooms ending in an odd (not even) number have the best views...

This is the 2nd time we've stayed at Pueblo Bonito Rose and we love it so much we would stay there again and again! The resort is right on Medano Beach and within walking distance of the best restaurants on the beach and the streets of Cabo. Within walking distance of the marina, the mall and of course Cabo Wabo! The junior suites are nice and comfortable and have private balconies and all rooms face inward, with balcony views of the courtyard, the pool or the Sea of Cortez. Both times we stayed here, the front desk clerk honored our request for a room on a higher floor with a view of Lands End. The staff is so friendly! The concierge was very knowledgeable and booked a desert & beach ATV tour for us, taking care of all the arrangements. The pool activities director was awesome, leading us in a few epic games of pool volleyball. Our server at the pool was excellent and remembered us by name every day and remembered our drink orders too, never making us wait for another round. The guys outside the lobby always promptly got us a cab when we needed one with no advance notice. The Pueblo Bonito Blanco is next door and I love that we were able to have breakfast there and charge the meal to our room. The Rose is very lively but definitely not a party scene type of resort. It quiets down at night and is really peaceful. My only gripe about the Rose is the wifi. There's a wifi courtyard near the lobby where the service is iffy and when you finally get connection, its super slow. Otherwise you have to pay some ridiculous amount to have wifi in your room and it's per day and per device. Besides that we love everything about the rose. It is a fantastic place to stay in Cabo!

We'd never been to Mexico and didn't know what to expect & found an amazing experience. PBR was fantastic! The rooms are very comfortable, clean, roomy and had everything you need & all inclusive is absolutely the way to go. The food is fantastic at both Rose & the sister property next door, the Blanco. Both resorts are on the Sea & the beach is a blast. They both have great pools with activities which kept my 5 kids, ages 13-20 very occupied for 7 days. The Blanco is smaller w/a round pool area & feels like a more intimate resort; Rose has a larger, longer pool which is great for volleyball & for finding a corner of the pool to yourself. Both resorts have fantastic, energetic vibe & I can't say enough about how gracious, kind, helpful & friendly the staff was at both resorts. My husband & I took the shuttle to the other sister properties, Sunset Beach and Pacifico. SB is on a steep hill so you have to wait for golf carts to get from place to place while Pacifico was adults only & very quiet/Zen. Both are beautiful but we agreed we liked Blanco/Rose better. Room service is very slow--upwards of 90+ minutes but when you are at a resort you should not waste time in your room so it didn't matter. Only issue was room locations. We asked at booking & a week prior to arrival to put our 3 rms on the same floor since 2 of the rms had kids. Didn't happen which was disappointing. But that was the only rub & we're definitely making PBR our only beach go-to vacation resort. Shout outs to activities staff Linda and Angelo; Mare Nostrum staff Raul, Alberto and Juan Luis, pool staff Wilver and Gerry and Angel; Jorge at Cilantro--you all rock, thanks for making our family's vacation so wonderful.

The hotel and room was very nice. We had excellent service in the pool area by Jay. Jay is a hustler; he works very hard and is very fun. Always had our drinks promptly and right, don't even know how he remembers who ordered what since he did not write it down and there was always a big group ordering different drinks and foods! Israel was very good as well. Our cleaning lady was very nice and helpful. The restaurant staff was great as well. Overall, we had a great time.
