Our 1st time in Cabos & we had a great time! The Rose & Blanco had both been recommended to us but we decided to go with the larger Rose. Our room was very nice & clean (on the 6th floor with a nice view of the pool & sea) The showers could have had more water pressure & more English speaking on the TV channels. Would have liked a "true" king size bed too but it was comfy. We loved the option of either going in the pool or the sea...The Blanco pool was too hot though. Meals were really good & we liked being able to use both hotels for their all-inclusive meals & drinks. Nice fitness center too. The staff was very helpful & tried to meet our needs in every area. We would definitely come here again!!

We had a luxury suite which had a separate bedroom (2 doubles) away from the living room/kitchen area. While the room itself was comfortable and accommodating there was just a sliver of ocean view (we were told it was the same for all of the Luxury suites) Our view was of a roof top and the pool. This is a timeshare and the owners have the views.
Check in was simple. Hugo was awesome. Even let us go and check out two different rooms to see which one we like the most!
We set up dinner reservations for the restaurant at the Rose and the two at the Blanco. I suggest you do so as soon as you get to the resort because reservations fill fast. You will need a reservation for dinner each night you eat at a hotel. Even tho we were all inclusive, we went in to town for dinner two nights. We went to Morrow's (amazing!!! You have to go) the seafood dinner is cheap and fabulous! And to a taco place another night (sorry, not so memorable!)
We snorkeled, air jet biked, and parasailed all thru the man off the beach there at the Rose. We played water volleyball from 2-5 everyday and made tons of friends in the water. Very disappointed that there was not a sand volleyball net tho I had asked on Twitter and was told there was a sand net.
Overall we had a good trip. The beach at this resort is extremely hard to walk on. It takes a very hard drop to the water and the waves rush in hard. No nice walks on the beach here. We are beach people and this is not beach friendly for sure. Our thinking is that we can go to a pool at home...why go to a pool on vacation. We stayed at the pool this whole vacation because the beach was impossible. Bad planning on my part.

The spa at the PBR was a wonderful experience. I find the staff very nice and helpful especially Carlos. Although I have nothing bad to say about the Pueblo Bonita Spa itself the hotel was disappointing.

We have time shares for the PBR but was disappointed with the accommodations our last stay. The ceiling fan feels like it was going to drop on us with the whooshing noise. Our bathroom lamp tilted over and the sheets and lounge cushions were old and out dated. They seriously need to update those lounge chairs. The pool itself always feels slimy against the walls of the pools, I could NOT and would NOT swim in there. We checked into the Casa Dorado the next morning. Very glad because everything is cleaner there. Anyone wants to take over our timeshares? lol.

If they could have leveled the Rose and dropped Sunset Beach there it would be paradise. This hotel hands down has the best location in town and on Medono Beach but has the worst rooms. The Blanco the rooms are even better. Musty smell in all the drawers to the point they were unusable and we had to change rooms once because a/c was not working. We are just used to staying at higher end resorts. That being said, we did not go for the room. This pool is awesome!! Bar on the beach is awesome!! We could not wait for night to come to sit by the beach bar and listen to old rock and role videos being played on the big screen. Only downside was they stopped the music between 9:30 to 10 pm every night.
We always rent a car and make several trips to Walmart, drive into town for shopping or over to Los Cabos area for shopping. I would also suggest going to Todos Santos to see where the a Eagles wrote hotel California. Very neat hotel. Was not scary driving at all. About an hour away.
If we were out at night drinking we always took a cab.
I would defiantely stay at this one or the Blanco when coming back to Cabo. Like I said rooms were clean but just so old it's hard to control the humidity inside. The bed and furniture was fine.
Cabo Wabo is a fun hang out at night. Gets a little too loud for me, can't hear my husband talk so we don't stay long. Honestly we are fine staying at hotel at night watching our big screen by the beach. We never ate there, we always go out for local food. Drinks were ok and wait staff was slow at times.
I would stay here again for sure!

Room Tip: As far away from the office as you can, the rooms with the best ocean view are at the very end of the hotel.

Great vacation overall, and we're so glad we booked all-inclusive. Staying at a resort like Rose that offers both pay-as-you-go and all-inclusive plans is really the best since the quality of the food and drinks is still excellent, but it's all paid for upfront and unlimited! Fellini's Restaurant was better than anything else we had in all of Cabo (including way overpriced/rated Edith's nearby). For only $10/person extra for a truly gourmet-quality 3-4 course meal, we ended up having dinner there multiple times. The room we wanted wasn't available on the day/night of our arrival, but it opened up for the rest of the trip so they were willing to move our luggage for us the next day while we were out exploring. Hotel grounds were well maintained (very large staff).

Ideally there would be some enforcement of a time limit on people leaving towels on chairs to prevent the monopolizing of great spots under the cabanas and umbrellas all day. Also, more available beach umbrellas on-hand would be great since some jerks like to move them UNDER THE CABANA they lucked out in getting! Can't blame the resort though for inconsiderate vacationers.

Beach servers were very prompt and attentive, and we never waited longer than a few minutes to get served at the bars or restaurants. WiFi is spotty (like most nearby hotels), but at least it's free in certain parts of the resort. Having full all-inclusive access the neighboring Blanco hotel meant we had double the food/drink options, and double the areas to rest and relax! Definitely one of the best value (and comfort) vacations we've ever had in Mexico.

Room Tip: Top floor, low number (i.e. 6003, 6005) rooms ending in an odd (not even) number have the best views by far of the ocean and Land's End. Don't forget to tip your hardworking servers and maids for the best service!
