“Antonio- bellman”
Reviewed 15 July 2014

The bellmen at this property are fantastic. They are always willing to help in any way, with a smile! Antonio has been especially helpful and efficient and seems to remember us year after year. (We have been coming here for 22 years as it is our timeshare). We also think that Erica, our housekeeper, is wonderful and makes the best towel animals ever : )

A major complaint is the pool area. This year ( 4th of July week) there was major scraping, spraying and painting project going on. Many days there were big paint chips everywhere. Also, if you leave your lounge chair for an hour they leave a terse note and then take your stuff if your not back within some mystery time limit. It seems pretty silly since there are plenty of vacant lounge chairs!

Pueblo bonito was very welcoming from the minute we arrived. Ozcar (bellboy) was very helpful in making sure we had the best hotel accommodations and that we were pleased with our stay. Juanita (housekeeping) made sure that we had everything we needed and was extremely friendly. Our room was always very cleaned and in tact because of her. Our outdoor pool experience was amazing thanks to Jhandi (poolside bartender) he always made sure we were well taken care of and was very charismatic and attentive. Our family feels very excited about planning next year's vacation and staying at pueblo bonito.

We stayed here for a week and to be honest that was enough. The location is superb, I highly recommend the Blanco over the Rose as it is prettier, smaller and more friendly in general. However I've got to say the service was inconsistent. Luis at the front desk was fantastic, he was professional, detailed and articulate. The service at the bars and poolside left a lot to be desired. You could die of old age waiting for a drink or food. The food was OK. Very little variation but what you got was OK. The buffets got awfully repetitive. If you can get a room on the 4th or 5th floor between X15 and X20 the view will knock your socks off. A lot of people walked to town but for us (older) it was way too far because of the heat and humidity. Cabo itself is kind of sleazy unless your looking to get blind drunk. Be forewarned the hard sell resort people are relentless and sneaky. As an example to get a towel card you have to endure a sales pitch for Sunset. Resort. The airport is nuts with hawkers.

I would like to try to find something positive to say but I find that very hard to do. Ocean Front view is a farce we had a view blocked by trees. The decor was tacky...blue waves painted on the walls. As soon as you land at the airport you are bombarded with attending a timeshare meeting and if you do they are gonna offer you such "great deals" on excursions. Don't fall for it NOTHING is a deal. They leave out important info like if u choose the spa you have to pay 19% tax on your service. If you choose the glass bottom boat it is really a VERY small boat with fogged plexiglass to see fish through. We were never told you would be dropped off on an island for a minimum of an hour. You would also need towels and money because they sold bottled water for $3 and umbrellas for $15. You are also heckled on the island (like daily on the beach at the hotel) to buy jewelry or take a pic with an iguana. But actually on the beach at the hotel the heckling was a lot more. There were people heckling you to buy sunglasses, henna tattoos, cigars, hats, shirts etc. The food was AWFUL the same breakfast menu daily. There was a swarm of bugs Thursday & Fri (July 10 & 11) that made it impossible to enjoy sitting outside or on the patio areas of the restaurant. We requested to eat inside and had one of the rudest waiters (Martin) on the resort. We had several other family members with us on this trip so we had a total of 5 rooms for 12 people. One of the rooms began to get infested with bugs and had to be fumigated. You would think a resort would do something to make good of the inconvenience. ..not this place. After the first night of trying to seat a family of 12 we made reservations for the remaining nights so we would be able to sit together. Ha..that was a waste of time because we either sat separately or it took a while for them to drag tables and chairs to accommodate us although we had reservations. Most nights it took the server a long time to come and even take drink orders. Needless to say I will never visit this resort or any of their other resorts let along recommend this place to anyone.

Over the past 8 years, I have been to multiple all inclusive over the Caribbean and Central America. But this was the worse by far. Let me start with the bright spots, some of the staff was great. Andres and Arturo were very helpful, and remembered my name for our 6 day stay. Was impressed with that. The location was great, right on the beach. Beautiful view of the Arch. Now for the bad. The food was below average. The breakfast menu was unchanged for all six days in which I was there. It is not a big resort, but they required that you make dinner reservation, even for the buffet. And reservations did not ensure that you would be seated as a group. We had a group of 12 and was separated on more than one occasion. Dinner usually started at 6 pm and on more than one occasion, they ran out of food by 830 pm, and it seemed that we were fed scrapes or had to settle for room service. One night room service took 2 hours. Some of the wait staff and hostess staff was slow. It seemed that they moved a little quicker with a tip, which is supposed to be covered with all inclusive. We stayed from 7/6 to 7/12/14, which was a few days after a storm had hit. On 7/10/14, my Mother's patio was swarmed by thousands of nats. It took several calls to the front desk before anyone came to help. Finally, the cleaning lady saw the severity of the infestation, and she was able to get some one to fumigate, 30 minutes later. Also, like almost all beach towns, they try to sell you on a time share property. I know some people don't mind these presentations, I can take them or leave them, but I dislike the way in which they " hound" you before you even get a chance to go to the beach. As soon as we checked in, we had someone "hounding" us about their Sunset Beach location. Which has a great view, but you cannot even use the beach due to the rough current. Finally, we travelled with my 6 year old niece and my 2 teenage kids, and they had no activities for them. And this was billed as a family friendly resort. Being the man I am, I did make the best of a bad situation, but I would not recommend anyone on this location. I would say, try the RIU Santa Fe, it looked nicer.

Stayed June 30-July 7th! Great staff, all so friendly. Loved being able to walk downtown. Found Peacock's restaurant, Corazon Alcachofa. Great food. Views are great, and grounds are kept beautifully maintained.

We have stayed at this resort 6 out of the last 10 years and always enjoy our stay here. The friendliness of the staff and the perfect location on Medano beach are the two reasons we became members here. Frankie and Oscar and all the staff at the front door are always their with a smile and you never have to open the door all week. By the pool Margarito was our server most of the week he showed up with a bucket of ice everyday after we ordered one the first day. He always did his best to make sure we were happy. I saw some comments about painting the outside of the building, it may have been a little inconvenience but as a owner i see my maintenance fees at work and these upgrades ensure a pleasant stay the next time we return. We took the sunrider dinner cruise in the evening we had a very good time and everything you wanted was included. Felix helped us with all of our activities during our stay he is always very informed about what is happening in cabo and he always makes sure we were satisfied with what we paid for. He has also become a good friend over the years and we look forward to seeing him the next time. This resort is our home away from home for a week at a time.
