“Lost Dinner Reservations”
Reviewed 19 July 2014

Very poor customer service when it comes to reserving a table for the dinner event (Surf and Turf Night). We made reservations through concierges only to be told that we are not on the list. Dining room hostess told us we had to have a reservation slip. No one told us we had to have a silly slip of paper. Furthermore no instructions on the advertisement in our room or in the elevator explained how to properly make reservations for these events other than to call your hotel concierges. You are left up to trusting the person on the phone who mishandles it. Funny thing, the family waiting behind us had a reservation slip but because they were not listed on the host reservation list they too were not allowed in. PB Los Cabos (Blanco) managed to find space at Cilantro's for both groups but the cost was much more than we were expecting to pay.

This is the oldest PB Property in Cabo, however it is my favorite. I have owned here in the past and felt it was a the place to be.
The hotel is right on the soft sand of Medano beach where everything is going on. You can swim on this beach (no so on the west coast). The hotel has great places to eat on site and nest door at the PB Rose. There are also great place within an easy walk down the street (go out the rear gate and head up Pelicanos street). This hotel is closer to all the things in Cabo and you can walk to most all of them. Cabs and rental cars are available in the lobby.
This property also has a free shuttle bus to all the other PB properties. Go to PB Sunset Beach and enjoy the sky pool.
The best rooms at this hotel are on the second floor above the outdoor bar on the east side of the pool. These rooms have big outdoor private decks.
The hotel can by a little noisy, us is a semi-circle around the pool with all room having a great view of the bay but all the little patios face the pool and the noise. For the most part this is not bad and at night is is quiet.
The staff is good and if you need things you just need to ask.
The rooms are comfy with kitchens in all the units for a little morning meal and coffee is you choose. The kitchen is stocked with pots pans plates and silver to 4-6 people and the frig is big enough to keep food and drinks for a week.

Our family visits pueblo bonito every 2 years for the past 5 years! We look forward to it each time! Every year we enjoy it a little more although since they have added an "all inclusive" package to the resort I feel that the service has gone down hill a little! Alex the personal trainer who works in the spa/gym was FANTASTIC! I highly recommend working with him if you enjoy fitness!

The bellmen at this property are fantastic. They are always willing to help in any way, with a smile! Antonio has been especially helpful and efficient and seems to remember us year after year. (We have been coming here for 22 years as it is our timeshare). We also think that Erica, our housekeeper, is wonderful and makes the best towel animals ever : )

A major complaint is the pool area. This year ( 4th of July week) there was major scraping, spraying and painting project going on. Many days there were big paint chips everywhere. Also, if you leave your lounge chair for an hour they leave a terse note and then take your stuff if your not back within some mystery time limit. It seems pretty silly since there are plenty of vacant lounge chairs!

Pueblo bonito was very welcoming from the minute we arrived. Ozcar (bellboy) was very helpful in making sure we had the best hotel accommodations and that we were pleased with our stay. Juanita (housekeeping) made sure that we had everything we needed and was extremely friendly. Our room was always very cleaned and in tact because of her. Our outdoor pool experience was amazing thanks to Jhandi (poolside bartender) he always made sure we were well taken care of and was very charismatic and attentive. Our family feels very excited about planning next year's vacation and staying at pueblo bonito.

We stayed here for a week and to be honest that was enough. The location is superb, I highly recommend the Blanco over the Rose as it is prettier, smaller and more friendly in general. However I've got to say the service was inconsistent. Luis at the front desk was fantastic, he was professional, detailed and articulate. The service at the bars and poolside left a lot to be desired. You could die of old age waiting for a drink or food. The food was OK. Very little variation but what you got was OK. The buffets got awfully repetitive. If you can get a room on the 4th or 5th floor between X15 and X20 the view will knock your socks off. A lot of people walked to town but for us (older) it was way too far because of the heat and humidity. Cabo itself is kind of sleazy unless your looking to get blind drunk. Be forewarned the hard sell resort people are relentless and sneaky. As an example to get a towel card you have to endure a sales pitch for Sunset. Resort. The airport is nuts with hawkers.
