The atmosphere and the food are above average. A beautiful view of Medano beach. Save room for dessert the churros are amazing.

We have been there before, and always go back. Very nice atmosphere with good food, and it is quiet. Always a very pleasant evening. Good menu, and all dishes have been well prepared

Friends of ours visited Hacienda and told us "you must go!" So, we went and we were not disappointed. The tamarind margaritas are fabulous and they're served with jicama pieces spiced with lime and tijan (a popular Mexican spice). I had chorizo sopes with papas and my husband had tuna empanadas for starters. Both were outstanding. Then we shared a platter with chile relleno, marinated, grilled skirt steak and grilled chicken. Also excellent.

And then there were the churros. What can I say. Served in a little paper bag with chocolate and caramel sauces on the side. Crunchy outside, soft & chewy inside and when I dipped one in both sauces I thought I'd died and gone to heaven.

The only reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars is because there was a pretty big issue with the exchange rate and what the waiter said it was. As it happened, it took my husband 20 minutes to get the check sorted out (or so he thought.) When we got back to the hotel he did a little more calculating and discovered that the waiter had confused him so much that his tip was way more than he was supposed to get and far more than he deserved. So, buyer beware, but definitely enjoy your meal!

I was happy to read how much you enjoyed your dinner with us but was disappointed to read about the confusion. We present our bills in both US dollars and pesos. We also list the days exchange rate from the bank on the check. From what I am reading you were not overcharged on the bill but feel you over tipped. The "watch your bill" comment to is a bit misleading. I feel very confident the confusion was by no means intentional. I hope you'll be back on your next visit to Cabo.

A lovely atmosphere, great service, excellent food and drinks - Hacienda Cocina y Cantina never disappoints.
We returned again this year and found the restaurant still lives up to 5 stars. Do not be discouraged at the difficulty the cabs have getting there, the streets around this private establishment are all under construction. It is well worth the effort!

The food is gourmet and ethnic - the salads are fresh and delicious - the entrees are superb and tasty.

The presentation is excellent and the wait staff is all professional and friendly. The location is on the beach surrounding the pool area, sheltered and the restaurant is quiet and you are able to converse without mariachi bands/singers bothering you during your meal.

Try it - you will love it. The prices are reasonable, the food is terrific, the experience is worth the effort to try something new!!

Absolutely amazing food, service and ambiance. The food is excellent, the portions are just perfect and the menu choices are abundant to the point that we could try different things every night and enjoy them all. We took our friends there and five months later we still talk about the place and will be making plans to go back to cabo and to hacienda real soon.
