“Terrasol Pool Restaurant review”
Reviewed 4 June 2014

We didn't stay at Terrasol this trip, but we still like to eat at their pool restaurant. So, I'll make this review brief since it's only about the restaurant.

The restaurant has been remodeled. Nice new kitchen, etc. Mario/Pancho still there. Food still good. Prices up slightly. Still our favorite place to get a sparkling limonada. I just like the way that Mario makes them. This trip we had them cook up our fresh tuna. I swear, of all the restaurants where we have our fish cooked, Pancho does it the best. He never overcooks it, and it's always seasoned just right. We had a big platter of our tuna served to us with all of the fixins'. We made our own fish tacos using the tortillas and the fish & the fixins'. And it was, as always, fabulous.

This place never disappoints.

My husband and spent our first week at an all inclusive resort closer to San Jose Del Cabo and after much drinking and eating.......oh and did I mention drinking, we wanted to now spend a quiet week alone together at a Condo that was close enough to town to walk to when we needed to take a break from the quiet. Well Terrasol fit the bill. Although we rarely left the condo, the few time we did, it was only a 5 minute walk to the Marina and wonderful restaurants.

My husband and I travel the world and it doesn't matter how amazing the accommodations I book for us, it usually takes a few hours for him to adjust. After a few hours (or a day) he decides that it's okay, but the minute he walked into this lovely Terrasol Condo (#236), I could hear him saying that he loved it this place.

We did most of our own cooking. The condo was fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. The Walmart was a 5 minute, $14 each way Taxi ride from the condo.
The Taxis are right outside the gate so no problem grabbing a taxi at anytime. The Walmart has most everything you need, but you may need to be a little creative. For instance no sweet pickles for Potato Salad, but pickle relish worked in a pinch.

We did venture out to the pool bar and restaurant a couple of times. Everything was good and inexpensive. We were there during the World Skim Boarding Competition so it was fun to watch from the restaurant area.

The staff from the front desk to the restaurant/bar and even to the groundskeepers was excellent. When we brought our groceries back to the condo, the groundskeeper came running up with his wheelbarrow and carried all of our groceries to the condo for us.

My husband didn't want to go here because the pictures on their website make it appear as if there is nobody ever at the pool, but there are more people then it appears.

Still have more of the World we want to visit, but we will definitely be back as soon as possible.

P.S. When and if you get tired of eating Mexican food, Salvatore's has great Italian Food.

Room Tip: #236. Sets back off the Beach but has two terraces that allow you to see the Ocean and the Marina. T...

We have vacationed in Cabo for several years. We have only stayed in unit #121. This condo has been totalling renovated and with beautiful upgrades making it a real 5 Star accommodation. When you walk in the front door you will be amazed and wish you never had to go home. The owner of this condo is very easy to work with and trustworthy. If traveling to Cabo this where you want to stay. Private beach, 5 minute walk to marina, restaurants and shopping.

We were fortunate to stay at the Penthouse at Terrasol for two weeks. What a glorious place. Views from this unit were absolutely amazing. This 3 bdrm, 3 1/2 bath was very roomy and comfortable. The best part was a full size kitchen, complete with everything necessary to cook nice meals in the unit. Also, the patio is amazing. With slide-out glass doors, it was seamless indoor and outdoor living. Included in the Penthouse was satellite TV and very reliable WiFi. Literally all the comforts of home. But if you need anything, the staff at Terrasol is accommodating and very helpful.
The property is beautifully landscaped and well taken care of. The pool area was very nice and the Palapa Bar at the pool served reasonable priced drinks and good food!
Terrasol is on the Pacific side and no vendors. It is peaceful to walk the beach without the hassles of Medano Beach. But, it is close enough, a ten minute walk through the Marina, to reach the fun and craziness that Cabo has to offer. We arranged our rental at Terrasol through Craig Harrison, and in fact we have rented from him 3 times. To view his rental properties in Cabo, go to : www.thecaboharrisons.com

My husband and I are on our 7th fabulous day in condo 236. We made our selection after doing a ton of research and have been totally happy with our decision. We booked through Craig Harrison on the VRBO website. The condo is exactly as advertised. We were amazed at the view, both from the large oversized terrace (with an amazing view of the Pacific) as well as the panoramic view from the rooftop deck. The entire property is beautiful, flowering bushes line all of the sidewalks. The heated pool with the talapa bar and cafe is great, super cheap but tasty food.

What we absolutely loved was the location. 236 is in the first building after entering the complex, which made it incredibly handy for our daily walks around downtown Cabo and the marina. The condo is on a hill with the marina at the bottom behind the complex and the Pacific at the bottom of the hill in front of the condo. We have spent most our time at the condo on the terrace, which offers both sun and shade throughout the day.

Many of the people we met at the pool are repeat customers on a yearly basis. After chatting with several, we realized how lucky we were to rent through the Harrison's. All of their condos, they own 8, include WIFI, Sat TV, large terraces with comfy lounge furniture as well as no added resort fees. If you choose to stay at Terrasol, book through the Harrison's, you will be happy you did!

We are planning on coming back in two years (we don't like going to the same location two years in a row). We are bringing our son and his family so we will rent a larger unit, but definitely through Craig Harrison. What a wonderful trip, this was our first vacation in Mexico, we normally go to Hawaii, I think we like Cabo more! The people are much friendlier, the food is better, it is much easier to walk anywhere and it is cheaper.

We have two more days left, Craig was kind enough to allow a late checkout since we do not need to leave for the airport until 2:30. We have a ton of great memories from this vacation and look forward to sharing Cabo with our son and his family.

Room Tip: 236 is a great location for walking to the marina and downtown Cabo. The terrace is fabulous with a...

This was a nice resort. Pricing was reasonable which drew us to it. It was first incepted in 1982 (or 83, forgive me if I am wrong about the year) on phase 1. There was a second phase added in the early 90’s which is where we stayed.

The common ways are clean and moderately well kept. (Some of the lighting was damaged, bulbs burned out, cracks in infrastructure, that sort of thing.) All the landscaping was generously taken care of. The sand was well raked, plants and shrubs in excellent condition! Pools as well, excellent!

The main detracting features to us was that there are around 15 units that are just flat unoccupied and no care is being taken to them. There were some doors that were just open, others were boarded over and such. Not really what you want to see when you were walking around. The location is about a mile(?) walk off the marina. It's not far, but it's far enough to be away from the hussle and bussle of the downtown. A taxi cost us $8 USD from downtown to resort.

The room(s) themselves were in good condition. Once again, you can see where corners were cut and it may seem a little dated, but all in all the view that we had was excellent, it was quiet at night with no disruptions and security seemed pretty good. Price to value is still a solid A-.

NOTE: If you plan on staying at this resort to use the ocean, (not the beach) we were forewarned that as it was on the Pacific side, the riptides are/were extremely dangerous and it was not advised that we go into the water… Instead to go inland to the marina or anywhere on the Sea of Cortez. The beach is still a public beach but you won’t get bothered by vendors.
