“Good price and very hip hotel”
Reviewed 20 August 2012

This hotel was pretty good for the price. Everything in Cabo is pretty expensive compared to other areas in Mexico so this place is very reasonable. The staff was extremely friendly and made our stay comfortable. We stayed on the 2nd floor that overlooked the pool. We did not get a free upgrade like I've read in other reviews but the standard room was just fine. The best part about it was how incredibly comfortable the beds were. There was also a kitchen w/ fridge and oven/stove. We didn't use the oven/stove because they did not provide the appropriate cookware. We were prepared to go out everyday so it wasn't a big deal. It was just nice to store leftovers that we didn't mind eating cold or keep our drinks cold. They provide an individual safe just off to the side of the lobby which was great to store $$/passports. The eatery next store was delicious but a little pricey. Sharkey's (don't be mislead by the name--across the street) was much cheaper and safe to eat.
Things to do a block away: Sparitual is very close and all guests get 30% off. The place is wonderful!! All massages come with steam, sauna, and hot tub/rainshower use.
Day use costs $16--and you can leave and come back. What a deal!
Also there is a magnificent view from the brewery across the street--8 floors up that sits atop a hill. It's inside of the hotel located caddy corner that isn't well advertised but worth the trip--gorgeous views--a must.

Cons:
When we first arrived we didn't get a full greeting of what the hotel offers or where anything is located, hours of anything, taxi cab questions, the area, that there was an individual safe to use, happy hours, add-ons, trips specials, DVDs/cards available, free calls to the US, etc.
We had to ask all of these questions...It would have been nice if they helped a little more. Instead they gave us our keys and were to busy to greet us appropriately. It would have saved us time and felt better about our stay initially.

It rained the 1st 2 days--which is not their fault at all. But the pool closed for half of a sunny day and we didn't have access to the jacuzzi for at least 3 days before we could use it.

PROS:
Price
Location
Ambiance
Great coffee
Friendly staff (except our first day)
Safe
No kids running around

Being the planner of our annual vacation I book based on reviews and location. Yes this is a great location walking distance of all things fun!!! Our group is very happy with the location. KARIM was great!!!!!!!! He was super sweet greeted us everytime we came to the lobby!! We have decided to come back next year and will stay at this hotel because of the great customer service Rodrigo and Oscar the bartenders are a lot of fun and very clever when it comes down to making fun drinks. Although the restaurants food is not the best. Until next year I've had an amazing vacation!!

People were great, the owner treated us very well. The staff were excellent. The food at the restaurant was first class. Probably one of the best in the city, if not THE best. The breakfast (eggs benny) was the best I've had. Started every day with it. Good group of people, not too big of a place (small town feel). The staff new your name by the end of the first couple days. Very personable place. Great value, seconds from the beach. Unbeatable.

Thank you for the review. We feel that a personal connection enhances the guest experience so it is nice to read that guests appreciate that. As I have stated before the staff is an extension of ownership and they take great pride in representing us.

Good luck this year in Europe!

The Esquina Restaurant and Bar is an excellent example of people knowing what they are doing. The food coming out of the kitchen is of the highest quality...beautifully presented...with impeccable service. This was consistent over my 8 day stay here.

My favorites...
Grilled Chicken Breast with sauteed vegetables..the vegetables done el dente with just the right amount of olive oil...
The Salad of Pear/Goat Cheese/Mixed Greens/Pistachios was delicious and fresh... served in a
beautiful white bowl...
Their Margherita Pizza straight from their wood-fired oven...savory!...topped with Arugula.
And my favorite...The Spicy Shrimp with Coconut/Ginger/Lime Risotto.. aromatic and done to
perfection...soft on the outside...chewy on the inside.

And in the background that soft-beat music you usually hear at The Four Seasons...
I will be bringing my family and friends here...
Love You Restaurant Esquina!

I can't say enough good things about Bahia. We fell in love with the place. It's impeccably designed. Every single staff person we encountered went out of their way to make us feel special. We initially booked and stayed in a classic room. We got a great deal, but midway through our stay upgraded to one of the newly renovated rooms. If you're looking for a deal, there is nothing wrong with the classic rooms. If you want that extra bit of luxury, the deluxe rooms are beautiful and comfortable and worth every penny. The pool was the perfect place to spend a lazy day reading and floating and snacking/drinking at the swim up bar. If you want to venture to the beach, it's a block or two away (not the most relaxing stretch of beach, but fun). Downtown is also an easy walk. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any friend heading to Cabo. We're already looking for excuses to go back for a long weekend.

We stayed here for just one day because we had a timeshare in San Jose. We checked in early and our room was not ready so the friendly guy at the desk put us in one of the renovated rooms overlooking the pool. The pool was nice with beds and pool chairs, swim up bar. Hammocks all around the hallways. Lobby was nice and had one of the best margaritas there. Very close to Medano beach where it is the place to be in the day time. Rooms are big like an adobe house. Showers and toilet are in a dark area. All good it did it's job. I read somewhere you shared bathrooms I don't know about that. We had our own. Queen bed was more like a full but very comfortable. We also had a 42 inch tv in our room. Got a better deal on hotwire. I would love to stay here again.

Room Tip: Get a room that over looks the pool.

My wife and I recently stayed at Bahia the first week of August 2012. We spent 6 days and 5 nights at the hotel. We stayed of the 4th floor, the first impression of the room was pretty average. Nothing special, queen sized bed, older television, we had a view of the pool, but no patio. The room was clean, it didn't feel like it had just been cleaned, but it was fine. The bed was really hard compared to our bed, but it worked out.

The 4th night all electricity went out of the 4th floor. I called down stairs and they said they would hopefully have everything back on in an hour. Over an hour goes by and still nothing, they said they would move us into another room that had electricty and AC. We were moved next door to the same layout of our original room.

The pool at the hotel was too warm some of the times for me, but it was still relaxing. The swim up bar was neat. You can order food and drinks without getting out. The food was fresh and you know it was made to order.

You can walk from the hotel to the beach in two minutes. We spend a lot of time on the beach and at the marina. Walking to the marina took around ten minutes if you hustled. Walking back to the hotel was the worst, due to the huge hills you have to walk up, but it was easier and less expensive than paying for a taxi.

If I was to return to Cabo, I would stay here again. The staff was nice and even though it took longer to get a room with electricity, they were able to get us moved in a short amount ot time.

Room Tip: They were doing construction work on the bottom floor next to the pool.
