“Staff Service was excellent”
Reviewed 21 March 2014

One of our family members had a accident while we stayed at Cascades and required medical attention. The staff were first class all the way. We actually received better service in Mexico than we would have back home. It was incredible how quick the staff of Cascades reacted, from the front desk people, to the security guard that drove us to the hospital, or the Client Services Manager that drove us home.

After we arrived at the front desk of the resort to seek attention, we were in a vehicle less than 5 minutes later on route to a clinic. When we arrived at the clinic, the Client Services Manager was there waiting for us. He guided us through the whole process, waited while we received care, stick handled the language barrier, and drove us back to the resort in his own vehicle.

Cannot say enough good things to how the staff of Club Cascades reacted and helped us during this inconvenient situation. Exceptional service!

See you next year :)

Room Tip: We've stayed in several of their rooms and they're all good!

It is great to hear you felt very comfortable and at ease with our staff and Client Services Manager at the clinic. Hopefully, you were able to enjoy the rest of your trip in Cabo! First time staying here and we were very pleased! We were in the main building room 212 which is at the end of the corridor. At first we requested a different room because this unit had no views from a closed-in porch. Nothing was available so we decided to stay put. Glad we did...our unit was the most updated on our floor and was just beautiful! Excellent daily maid service. We did the walking tour with Angie the first day and she had some excellent recommendations for local fish tacos. Also took the Ceviche cooking class from her and loved it! We were very happy to exchange into Cascades de Baja!

This is our home away from home! We love everything about this resort! The villas (which we have stayed in Porfin, Escondido, Arco, Perlita, Bahia, Casa Del Rey, Villa Cortez and Villa Sol!) All the villas are excellent, clean and very comfortable.

There is as much to do if you want to or if you just want to sit on the beach/pool. We have gone for numerous years and have purchased several different villas. We are always excited to go there...we know it will be an absolutely wonderful vacation!

We have gone to the spa and have had a wonderful experience each and every time! We have used the concierge with excellent prices and very accommodating! We have walked into town, gone to other restaurants, but our favorite is to have dinner delivered to our villa! That is soooo special! The meals at the restaurant are excellent!

The staff has become our family - really! We go to their homes, visit with their families, watch their kids play soccer, enjoy meals with them. They are our family!

The front desk staff - WOW! These people are caring individuals. They want everything to be the BEST! When my daughter had an ear infection, they called the dr, they got the prescriptions, etc.
I feel much better knowing that these people are there to help with whatever we need.

The sales staff are no pressure sales...they visit with us over lunch, let us know what is available...tell us about the enhancements around the resort. They don't hassle us....if we are interested we find them.

The resort as a whole is the BEST family vacation!

Room Tip: The villas throughout the resort are very relaxing!

I, and a few gals were invited to tag along with friend for a one week visit in January. The couple that invited us have been long time owners, I believe close to 20 years. The design of each villa is interesting, I had the opportunity on our last day to peak in and get familiar with most of the other villa lay-outs. The Club members from what I could see the week we were there were mostly an over 65+ club...A few kids..looking somewhat bored. I can foresee this becoming a huge issue in the upcoming years for folks that have mobility issues.

Our Villa #5, was large..3 floors.. with two bedrooms / bathrooms on the ground floor, second floor was open concept, living and kitchen space with a huge balcony. The kitchen was well appointed, mind you we ate out almost every day.. Handy for breakfast, making appys / mango margs before heading out for the night. The third floor was the master suite with bathroom. The resort pools were nice in size, with the grounds being well maintained. There is a small gym for working out, I found everything there I needed.. the erg was a hoot, super old school in design..2 treads,a rack of free standing weights, The Club house was comfortable, but dated. think sunken pit, shag carpet..

Negatives to this location... No bathroom on the main living area, the area where we did most of our entertaining. Loved the fact that there was no TV.. I would have loved to have seen a dock system with a few speakers for playing tunes..The Proximity to the Resort next door, Rose Bonita.. Wow, nothing like being woken up from a dead sleep by 4 old clanky metal wheels of a laundry/garbage bin resonating between the Club and hotel corridor. The upstairs master suite was gorgeous, the open concept room with thatched roof was smashing... But, come morning, my Pal and her Hubs were bombarded by a few birds, compounded by the fact that there were no black -out drapes, the sun was blinding at 6 a.m. The windows do have a tint on them, but the fact that the were staring at the hotel next door was cause for discomfort. NO privacy.. There is a huge tree that is there, that probably once acting as a buffer.. but it appears to be dead, no foliage whatsoever...and No it wasn't dormant. This privacy issue was addressed on the first day, nothing was resolved for the week that we were there... at that point even draping the window with a few sheets would have made them happy. And the towel game.. I had no idea this would happen here. We always made our way down to the beach and parked down at the end section... around 10-11 am...never had a problem getting a chair. On our second to last day, my Pal was rudely introduced to what a group of " gentleman" call the Palapa 500. Well, unbeknownst to my Pal.. who by the way is an owner, was up really early.. because of the birds / blinding sun/ no privacy... decided to grab a few chairs ... Ended up being bullied because they were not " Her's ",she wasn't there every day wanting the same chairs, was she really an owner...blah,blah,blah.. she stood her ground only to be skewered and verbally humiliated by this "gentleman".. She left, she was so upset by the whole encounter...A complaint was lodged, management had told her that yes this had been reported before.

Being a timeshare / fractional ownership Club that will be coming up for re-pledging in the next few years it will be interesting to see how many folks "sign again".. Mobility issues / aging members being a key point in making a decision.

Club Cascadas is not your typical hotel or resort. It was the first resort property on Medano Beach and was built and still operated by the Giddings family. The architecture of the villas are quite unique and the property is extremely well maintained. The individual owners of the villas have a sense of family and are treated as same by the entire staff. Many of the staff I have known for over 20 years that I have come here and I am a lifetime owner of 2 beautiful villas. The property is very quiet and has 2 pools with accompanying Jacuzzis. Some villas have their own private Jacuzzi /and or pool. Units come with minimal kitchenettes and range upward to full kitchens. All kitchen gear is provided and there are many activities to do every day. If you wish to have a most relaxing holiday, try and either book a villa or exchange into one, you will not regret the experience. Check in is Thursdays with rooms available @ 4PM.

Room Tip: try to get a villa mid property or on the arroyo side

If you want to get away and relax but not be constantly partying, this is the place. It is one of the oldest in the area but uniquely finished. There is no phones, no loud music allowed outside after early hours and no TV's in the rooms. You can go to the club houses or the front snack bar and watch TV there if you wish. For myself, that was the drawback (no TV in room) because when we don't want to read or sleep or talk, TV is my wife and my distractions. But wow was it peaceful. Clean area and quite private since it is a small club. The restaurant was excellent and located on the beach with a superb view and tasty menu. The partier would have to travel up the beach a bit, but there is a lot of activity all over the area, not there. The people were extremely friendly and most of the timeshare owners have been there for over 20 years and keep coming back. The pools are not crowded and shopping is close by if that is your thing! We would definitely go back to another relaxing and quiet vacation.

Room Tip: The larger rooms have their own private spas and/or pools and upper ocean facing units have better v...

We have had what I would have to say the worst vacation experience
with a resort ever. My husband and I own a scuba liveaboard and cater to guests from all over the world. Our vessel departs from Cabo and we decided to do a time share exchange and stay for the week. Club Cascadas was available so here we are.
We had two couples over for dinner last night. One of the gentlemen runs the hyperbaric chamber in Cabo, his wife is a professor and the other couple run the pirate boat in town that does snorkel and sunset tours. We were sitting out on the patio having coffee and cheese cake.
We had Andrea Bocelli playing softly from an iphone while one of the couples grandsons slept on the couch. It was a calm and very relaxing ambiance. Security shows up and says that we have to quite down because there is an old couple a building away that is trying to sleep.
(his words). It is 9:30 pm. We explain that we are not being noisy and he is very belligerent. He says that all guests must be gone by 10:00.pm. He is telling me this in front of my guests. Well needless to say this was extremely embarrassing. After this everyone is uncomfortable and we finish our coffee and cheesecake and proceed to bring this back into the unit. He was back and 10:00. I tell him we are wrapping it up and then he is back at 10:15 to escort my guests out. Security was rude and used absolutely no common sense. While my husband and I are accompanying our friends to there vehicles we notice the resort is like a tomb. Not one person at the pool, all the lights off and then in the distance I see security talking to four people who are sitting at there patio playing cards. I felt we were harassed and will never stay at Club Cascadas again. This was not a vacation resort it felt like a hospital with visiting ours and a rude hospital staff.
