When you're finished at Cabo Wabo, walk out the back door (where the gift shop is) & turn left. Criollo is the first door on the left. We walked by one night & it immediately caught our eye. It looked so nice we wanted to stop in for a drink.
The atmosphere is very warm & inviting. Nicely decorated. Great music. We loved the tapas! Simple & delicious.
The owner (Manual) and bartender (Jorge) are awesome! They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We became fast friends with them & enjoyed our night so much the first time that we returned two more nights after that! We hated to say good-bye to them at the end of our third night.
The bar has only been open for a few months. Manual takes pride in making sure everyone has a memorable experience. He is very friendly & interesting to talk to. We learned so much about Mexico & Mexican culture just sitting back chatting, having drinks & laughing with him.
Ask for their signiture drink, the Criollo! Jorge won a mixology contest in Cabo & really takes pride in mixing your drink. We kept asking him to mix something new for us. Each drink was better than the last. Ask him about the time he met Jennifer Aniston! Funny story.
If tequilia interests you, ask the guys. They'll tell you everything you'll ever need to know about it. Be prepared to do a bit of tasting!
It's a small, cozy bar so you get talking to just about everyone who walks in. On your first visit you feel like you're at your favorite neighbourhood bar where everyone know everyone & everyone's happy to see each other. Great atmosphere!
We LOVED this bar!!!!!! It's THE BEST in Cabo.
Drop in for a drink. We guarantee you'll stay all night...and return several more times on your trip! You will not be disappointed.
