“Honeymoon Bliss”
Reviewed 15 July 2012

In one word this resort is simply AMAZING!!! I traveled here with my bride for our honeymoon. From the minute we arrived in mid-June, it was perfect in every way. From breath taking views to the immaculate facilities and the wonderful staff we really could not have asked for more. Our 4th floor room (building 20) was beautiful and the views even more of the same. Even being further up the hill did not remove us from a view of the ocean nor its sound. It felt as though we could step out the patio and onto the beach. Housekeeping was awesome and cleaned the room every day in addition to leaving us the "towel" swan creations. As an all-inclusive guest it made for a hassle free stay; no need to worry about how much cash to bring or use of credit cards.

The food was delicious. I really enjoyed the freshness of the fruit each morning and the selection of food was delightful. We did dine at La Nao exclusively so cannot speak to the other restaurants onsite. The wait staff was very friendly and extremely helpful having full smiles and genuine concern for each dining experience. Thanks there to Fausto, Pablo, Raul, Albierto and Gabriella. Despite being a buffet it was not the assembly line you'd expect from such. The choices are abundant: cold or hot, ready to serve or made to order be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. The Spa was great too. I liked that it was separated from other areas of the hotel on a different floor making it sooo quiet and relaxing. While I did not use the steam room or cold-hot tubs before my massage those areas too are very inviting. My masseuse, Letty, was phenomenal. The deep tissue massage is unlike any I've had in the last ten years; and as a regular as well as professional myself, she had unparalleled skills. Thanks chica, you rock! And our travel package had a $50USD Spa credit too which reduced its cost to a more market comparable fee.

This place was outstanding and we cannot wait to go back. The wife was already planning the next visit before this one was even over. We booked through Costco Travel and scored and amazing deal that included air, hotel, all-inclusive and transfers. That was a great choice. The only bad thing was the mild confusion at the time of our departing transfer but was resolved quickly enough. And even though it is a time share location we did not fell pressure to buy-in beyond the check-in where an offer was made to deposit $20USD for a $150 Spa credit. That was quickly refunded when we decided to change plans and not attend the presentation. In closing this was an awesome trip and look forward to many happy returns.

This place is amazing. We own a timeshare here and have always had exceptional service. In reading some reviews, I see complaints about the food and service. We have never experienced any negativity and we've come since 2009. However, don't come here acting all high and mighty as many American travelers do. This culture is happy to have your here as their economy is worse than ours, but don't snub them. Be gracious and courteous and you will receive the same. As a matter of fact, that's a good rule to follow anywere you travel - even in America! And the comments about the menu being the same daily. Hello?? Most restuarants don't change their menu daily either. Oh, they might have specials, but really? As for the all-inclusive, I can't comment topo much because I've never been sucked into that one, but there are different restaurants within the resort(s), so you should have enough choices for change. And, with the kitchens in the units, you also have the option of stopping at the Super Walmart on the way in and picking up snacks and small things to cook yourself. Overall, I think if you are complaining, you were expecting service like you were Kings and Queens. Get back to reality. We have always been treated very fairly here. Again, it may come down to how you go about asking. A smile and a nice voice can go a long way.
If you are considering staying here, I don't think you will be unhappy. The weather is always nice, the food is good, the drinks are excellent and the resort is SUPERB. Relax, enjoy the fact that you are on vacation in a beautiful part of the world and take in every memory you can. For goodness sake, it's a beach in Mexico!! And remember to smile : )

We are staying here right now. I was Very surprised by the reviews from Florida members... We booked this as a last minute trip (selected and booked on Expedia Sunday afternoon and flew out in wee hours of Tuesday). What a Great choice! We are 4 Very Well traveled people and all are Very pleased. The view, the property, the suites and houses, staff's attitude, management's attention, food at the Bistro - all Fantastic. Do not eat at the buffets, avoid La Nai and the lower (main pool) - if you dislike anything mediocre...
The views from the Sky infinity pool - is to die for! What photo ops. Bistro is open 24/7 - eat there. Food is Fresh and truly Excellent! I eat out 4 days a week around the world - I know. Treat yourself to an Exceptional dinner in town at "H" by Louis Herrera - all organic, expertly daily picked ingredients directly from the farm and prep/presentation - just another level, not to be matched at 8 times the price in NY, LA, Paris, London or Vegas (I left Italy out, since it’s another story...;)).
My wife and I used a spa. Facial and exfoliating pedicures (80 minutes!) - Phenomenal! If you can and want - get it done. New feet! Very good gym - herb infused steam room. Great high-end spa all around.
Dirk, Manager in Sales, is a Delight to know and deal with - make it a point to meet him...
We are having a Wonderful time!

Let me start by saying this resort is BEYOND amazing, the views, the resort, the pools, I mean everything regarding the way the property looks is SPECTACULAR.
We were a party of 5 and we travel plenty. This is in no way trying to come off as "picky" "they dont know what they are talking about" kind of review.
The food, plain and simple, HORRIBLE. It was the SAME menu every single day at the pool and for breakfast. Yes they had different "themes" at night for the food but all in all there was no variety. The food tastes so bad and was so bland.
My Mom, unfortunately got sick on the second night. You would think that the employees would be helpful and try to recommend what you can eat, NOPE, guess again, we were lucky they had Saltine Crackers, which was all she was able to eat. Not one person went out of their way to try and make her feel better. (we are very used to the opposite treatment everywhere else we have been, example: cruises, dominican republic, spain, etc.)
Speaking about food, we purchased the "All Inclusive Package" wait did I say all inclusive???
Let me start laughing, how about, you just spent $500 p/p for nothing? The buffet was ridiculous for the breakfast, where they have a "a la carte" which we cannot use because of the "All Inclusive", this was in "La Nao". If you wanted water bottles, the waiters were not allowed to give them to us, not to mention, they would "run out". On the third night we were there, we went to "La Nao" for dinner, we were attended by a gentlemen named "Paco" the service was so bad, I mean I was so uncomfortable, we are not the kind people that are super picky and complain and bother. But we felt like if we were in his way. My Dad decided to order more than 1 entree and to his surprise, the all inclusive plan did not allow more than 1 plate? We had no idea, of course.
The transportation for the sister hotels, get ready, make sure you reserve the day before (at least) it's always booked and always a pain. The golf carts around the property were pretty accurate, unless is was a little later in the evening, around 11ish, they would stop answering and you would just have to wait. All in all, the resort an amazing property, however, the staff, service, and food, HORRIBLE.

Arrived in July for a week. Stayed in the Presidental room building 22. Rooms are great and facility has been kept up and did not find anything lacking. We are owners here and have been coming for 6 years now.
There is now the option to do an all inclusive package. The cost was 79.00 per person and 39.00 for kids. This is for all eat and drink. We did not do this as all in your family has to do it for a min of three days. Our family of 5 did not see the cost benifit. So we did our usual costco and walmart run.
This was only for bottom shelf booze and it seemed that those who did the program did not get that great of service.
I did hear of some service complaints mostly regarding transport to the Monticristo villas. Some of the wait times were up to an hour. Some of the service was slower that usual especially at the Manilla Bar and main pool bar. The exception was when Ignaciao was at the Main pool bar he might be a manager and had everyone hopping. Our food and drink that time was out in minutes. Good job Ignaciao!
The food was good at all locations and service for us was fine except on July 7 when room service took 2.5 hours. We were warned it was a 2 hour wait but didnt think it would really take that long. Oh well.
It seemed that the on site resturants were a bit overwhelmed especially on friday and Sat.

Room Tip: Building 22 is closer to the sky pool and does not get the noise that other buildings get from the p...

Yes this is a timeshare magnet for those in the market, but my wife and two kids (3 yr. old daughter and 11mo. old son) signed-up knowing we were not going to purchase. There was no pressure to buy and the salesman (Thomas) was very professional and courteous. It was a great way to view the HUGE property and get acquainted with the amenities (plus we received Food and Beverage credit)! Well - the property is magnificent. We stayed in villa 1411 in a two bedroom two bath condo. It was beautiful! The only complaint would be the mosquitoes, but when you stay in a tropical setting, you need to be prepared! The view were spectacular and the staff was wonderful. We visited the Rose a few times and used their pool, which was more kid friendly than the Sunset pools. We also signed up for a glass bottom boat tour which took us to Lover's beach and the Arc. Our time there was very relaxing...we did not use the golf carts very often because our villa was not too far from the main lobby...we walked everywhere. The only instance was when we took the afternoon and used the sky pool - a cart is definitely recommended (especially with two kids). Although I will not likely be back to Cabo in the next few years (there's other places to see), we would definitely recommend this place for a quiet getaway removed from the busyness and crazyness of downtown. If you want to get your taste of the night life, you can always take a shuttle into town. Otherwise...sit back and enjoy the breathtaking views of Sunset Beach.

Room Tip: If you stay in a villa, I would recommend a second floor or third floor villa. The ground floor had...
