Was told to be there at 6. Got there at 6:10 and didn't actually leave til 6:50 which was kind of annoying since I was tired as can be. Took a few hours to catch anything but we ended up with 1 nice dorado and 1 tiny one that, unfortunately, swallowed the hook. Our boat captain wtas easygoing and funny. The boat is verrrry small for an oceangoing vessel but it's fine for a 2 person excursion.

Got the 5hr fishing excursion as a gift for attending a time shareshare presentation. My 20yr old daughter showed interest in pier fishing here in San Diego. So I thought a freebie trip in Cabo might be kinda fun for her and my 11yr son to have his first sea fishing trip experience in Cabo. My wife was not at all interested (she gets sea sick easily). The presentation gift guy told my wife how best to take dramamene doses. We all decided to do this as a family adventure, "What the Heck!" Let's just do it! Well, ...we spent perhaps our funnest day of our Cabo vacation on Sushi Time, selecting fillet cuts and eating our catch at a restaurant in the Marina! Day started with having to pay for the $15per person fishing license, Ugh! Luckily, ours was paid by the presentation $$ along with the cooler of water and 6pack of corona's. Brought our own sandwiches, but we were also offered sandwiches by the boat owner...don't know what those sandwiches may have been like...was cool that they offered. Boat was a clean, 23 foot fiberglass panga with a canvas cover..I thought it was too small...turns out the four of us and the captain fit perfectly and didn't need anything bigger or fancier to enjoy a get day of fishing. Captain Ron, a cool, seasoned local who looked as though he worked hard but enjoyed his days on the water, was our guide for the day. We speak spanish so we quickly got to know captain Ron and he was very generous with conversation about the area and fishing. He had Rooster fish planned for us. All fishing is done really close to shore, so no stress about being too far in the in such a small boat. Caught nothing for first hour. Then got three bites the next hour, caught 2 rooster fish. Captain explained they are fun to fish because of their fight and he was right, great fun to catch them. Was great video for us. Surprising that we were only 50 feet offshore just past the surf and right in front if the Riu resort. Sent 2 hrs more hrs with no hits I had given up and we were drained. Captain Ron took us 5 miles along the shore and back to Cabo. Ron had put out four poles with lures and trolled them as we came back to the Marina. Thats when we got multiple hits we caught 4 Dorados (Mahi Mahi) right near front of the Cabo arch, was really a cool moment. Ron, hooks'em and you reel them in. Great fun for noobs like us! Ron feeds the local sea lion and did photo op for us with the huge sea lion jumping for the bait fish. My son loved it, we all did. When we docked we were hit with the usual offers of getting the fish filleted, we went ahead and did it. This was the next coolest thing we did beacuse you get to go back and have your fish cut in front of you, we asked to taste our fish sashimi style and the cutter was more than happy to slice some samples,. Was a great time and many first times and memerable experiences for all my family. It's hot out there but this is a "must do." Thanks to Sushi Time, Captain Ron and Tailz Up.

This was our first visit to Cabo and we knew we wanted to go fishing. After doing much research and reading TA review we chose Sushi Time. I made the reservation before leaving Denver, so all we had to do was show up and fish. Our captain for the day was Pedro and he was friendly and knowledgeable. We had our first fish just about 15 minutes after we started fishing! We ended up catching 4 dorado and 4 skipjack which are being packed for us to take home to Denver. It was great leaving the marina and boating past the arch, lover's beach and divorce beach. Almost like a private tour. For fishing, we thought the price was reasonable and we really had a god time.

Our first time deep sea fishing, we had Ronnie as a captain. The boat is small but was perfect for our little 3 member family. Right away, my son caught a rooster. We then went to deeper water for dorado/mahi...I caught a mahi, my husband caught one, then my son caught another. We hooked a 4th mahi, but the fish was so large and was flopping so much, he flopped off the hook! We did not catch a marlin, but we were glad since we love to eat mahi! We were staying in a house, so we had mahi every night! My son was so proud of reeling in the rooster. It was a great trip, and we felt like Ronnie knew exactly where the fish were and how to get us some. What a great experience. Juan Carlos was very efficient and informative. We were so glad we chose Sushi Time! We did get the lunch, it was worth the $$.

This was our first time doing deep sea fishing. We had a blast, and learned so much from our captain, Angel! He was funny, Informative and entertaining. Gave us a detailed tour and although it was a off season, due to our captain's effort, we caught a huge Mahi mahi and two yellow tails. At the end, we were escorted to have our caught cleaned, and then we went to a local restaurant, and had our fillets prepared for lunch.
I totally recommend this activity. There are other activities that includes a tour at Playa del Amore and Land end, but this seems really private which includes all.
by the way, the staff make such a cute lunch box which includes drinks, protein bars, fruits, and sandwich for each participant.
