The best of Mexico...the resort is great but this review is about La Trajinera, the upscale restaurant at the resort. We had not been there before. It was my wife's birthday. The ambience was lovely, soft piano music playing in the background. We both had Goatcheese/Radicchio salads with pears and toasted walnuts. This was followed by an amazing freshly caught Tuna, blackened, seared in pepper crust and cooked to perfection. It was placed on a Rissotto base with a cooling drizzled sauce around the edge of the plate for contrast. The very best part of the whole evening was the wait-staff. They made it feel as if we were the only people in the place. At the end of the meal, a lovely piece of carrot cake arrived with a candle in it. They took the time to write my wife's name on the plate wishing her happy birthday. It was a memorable evening; romantic, exotic, and perfect....Mexico at its best!
