Our room was luxurious and the food was best I've had at this type of resort. I loved the freshly made quesadillas at breakfast, and the wide selection of Mexican style pastries. The French restaurant "Bordeaux" was elegantly decorated and each plate was elegantly designed as well as delicious.

We went to Dreams for our honeymoon this winter. We went at a slower time of the year for tourists and got to enjoy getting to know the staff. Darick and Omar were our servers for the entire week and we couldn't have asked for better. They were attentive, friendly, and made the experience truly enjoyable! Darick, in particular, made our trip wonderful! He always had a smile and a joke. Thank you for the wonderful trip! We can't wait to come back.

Had an amazing experience at the Dreams Los Cabos! The staff was friendly and had a great time enjoying all the amenities it has to offer. Make sure to look for Xavier at the Rendezvous Bar, not only does he make the best drinks but he's very personable and always willing to help to make sure we have the nest experience!

Where to begin.
I was convinced by our travel company to stay at Dreams vs. Riu Palace where we had stayed previously and had a great experience. So, dove in head first and booked three rooms for a special family birthday celebration. MUCH more expensive then Riu Palace, but what the heck.
Greeted nicely by bellmen and offered glasses of champagne. Escorted to the VIP check in area where everyone was hospitable. Then, we were made to sit at a table in the lobby to hear their dog and pony show about sitting in on a "short, maybe 1 hour" time share presentation the next morning. They also hand you "coupons" to use for services within the resort which barely touches the actual cost of a spa service. A massage is $250, but if we sit through a timeshare presentation, it would be deeply discounted. No thank you. Finally was able to get away from the salesperson and check out our rooms.
Rooms were lovely. Very clean. Disappointed that the mini bars were not fully stocked like at the Riu Palace. Some sodas and beer and 2 little bottles of airline size liquor. The other rooms did not even have the liquor. A can of Pringles, a bag of M&M's, a Snickers bar were the offerings, sort of thrown on the counter by the mini fridge.
The bed was super hard which my husband liked but I thought was uncomfortable. The bath/shower combo did not have a stopper so I could not use the bathtub and the rain shower head did not work only the hand held until we asked for maintenance. Bathrobes and slippers do come with the rooms however, one of our rooms did not have bathrobes. The weird thing is, one of our rooms had a 2 burner type stove thing and a microwave. Who cooks at an all-inclusive? We did not have babies so no need for a microwave. Weird.
I must say, the service is great. All the waiters in the bars, restaurants and around the pool area work very hard and aim to please. The food is mediocre unfortunately and the best meal is at the French restaurant. Not all restaurants are open every day so you need to check your daily hotel flyer to see where you can eat. I was lucky enough to have the staff at the VIP desk arrange a specific dinner time for our party each night although they do state that they have a no reservation policy. Much better than the Riu I must say, where you have to line up super early in the morning to make sure you secure a table at one of their specialty restaurants.
So, we enjoyed a 3 night stay, and were ready to check out when the problems started. Mario handled our check out experience so poorly that the relaxation and fun we had the 3 days prior all came to a screeching halt. One of the guests in our party splurged and had a mani-pedi during our stay. Cost was $125. He knew that he had a "coupon" which offered $40 off the service and presented it at check out to help defray the outrageous cost of this service.We were told that unless the coupon is presented at the time of service, it cannot be used. You mean to tell me we just spent almost $7000.00 and they're not taking a coupon for a measly $40???? At this point, it wasn't the money but the principal.They argued and argued that we hadn't presented the coupon in the manner they insisted and threatened to call security and tried to have the car service take our bags out of the van. I won't go into details of the entire conversation, but suffice it to say that our guest was forced to present his credit card and pay the $40 or they would hold us hostage basically. After all, this is Mexico and we don't have a lot of leeway in fighting with them as we would have in the U.S. I asked to speak to the hotel manager who had personally communicated with me prior to our visit to say he was available to help us with anything during our stay. He was magically unavailable. By the time we arrived at the airport, Mario was calling our guest to apologize and say he was refunding the $40. Really? At that point the entire spa service should have been removed from our tab at the very least. Mario then proceeded to try to call our guest 7 times and someone from the hotel tried to call me 4 times. Too late. We will never recommend Dreams and really had a special occasion pretty much ruined by the final experience by the check out staff. You know, people usually only take the time to write negative reviews and during our entire stay this was never my intent. Really sad that the management team has not empowered their staff with the tools to make the ENTIRE stay a positive one.

Room Tip: Room 621 is a great location

Dreams Los Cabos Spa & Resort is an outstanding place to stay. Mario Cortes Chef Concierge provides outstanding by ensuring that the guests were given whatever they needed. The rooms were gorgegous, and had a beautiful view. The resturants were outstanding and had good delicious food. Overall I will grade this place as an outstanding place to stay during your vacation here in Los Cabos. If you need assistant please contact Mario Cortes Chef Concierge and he will go over and beyond to ensure your vacation is outstanding. Even the Bell boys like Ramiero, & Elias who provided me with outstanding customer service making sure my luggage was place in my room. So if your planning your vacation, please make sure you take it here in los Cabos (Dreams Resort & Spa) and you will not regret it at all. It's an outstanding place to stay and you will be given first class customer service.

Room Tip: All rooms have beautiful view from any directions.
