“disappointing”
Reviewed 14 June 2014

for some reason we were under the impression it was adults only. it was not. therefor there were no "nicities". no romance whatsoever no quiet hide away bars, places to sit and relax. Food was terrible. buffets were good, but didn't feel like wearing my nice dresses to eat at a buffet morning noon and night. boring hotel. boring entertainment, Musty smelling rooms. and the hotel lied by saying we could eat at the sister hotel, Sante Fe. You could only eat the buffets over there, and that hotel was horrible. outdated, situated behind the palace and filled with lower class people. By far the worst place we ever stayed, certainly not up to our expectations and very disappointing. However, our first time to Los Cabos. Beautiful, loved the town, the view, the mountains and desert. Perfect weather in May. Cool at night. We like the Riverya/Cancun area better. We missed the tropical jungles and tree frogs singing at night.

Im just left speechless. Hands down the best resort i have ever been to. The location and structure f the building is simply stunning! The staff is so friendly and outgoing, doing all that they can to help the guest out. We went as a couple trip and although it is a very romantic area, with the nice dinners overlooking the ocean this resort is capable of fitting everyones needs. During my time there (June 3-9) we saw plenty children enjoying themselves at the kids club and kids pool, on the other side of the pool was the swim up bar for the older more lively crowd looking to grab drinks and socialize. The pools are large and well maintained, throughout the pool there was also couples swimming together, holding hands and there was even some solo individuals soaking up the sun, poolside. The food was perhaps on of the best i have EVER had! Everything is prepared and made so fresh. I recommend trying all the restaurants just once, I think, there is only reservations required for the Italian restaurant but so well worth it!! If you are looking for day activities to do outside the resort, staff in the lobby can help you out i highly recommend camel riding and sunset sailing!! If you want to hit up the nightclubs or go out into the city it is only $7 each way for up to 4 people per taxi. It is only about a 10min ride from the resort to the city. The city felt very safe which was a concern of mine but once i went, i felt very comfortable and at ease. Overall, everything was amazing! I was not expecting such high quality experience and amenities from an all inclusive resort. I can not wait to book my next trip with RIU, i have become a loyal customer!

This hotel is big and beautiful. We have traveled a lot to all inclusive hotels and this one is on the top of our list!!!!
A big shout out to Suzy Q. and Lorena in the Riuland Kids Club !!!!!! They were amazing with our two daughters (7 & 5). My girls did not want to leave the kids club which left us plenty of Mom and Dad time!!!!
The only reason I did not give this a 5 star are the rooms….they are okay in comparison to other 3/4 star resorts we have been to.
If you are looking to eat some good food and drink some good drinks this is your place.

Room Tip: Do not get a room by the lobby. VERY noisy all night long.

The hotel is amazing in character and amenities. Activities for all. Pool area for those who want activities and another for those who wish to relax. Good choice of eating areas. Good choices are the Japanese( no reservation needed) and Italian (Reservations required, adults only with dress code) restaurants. Plenty of pool and beach chairs are available. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Staff was very helpful and attentive at all of the restaurants and throughout the facility. Nightly entertainment with events on different nights to suit a variety of tastes. Best part: no time share people.

Room Tip: The junior suite with a Sea of Cortez view was a good choice.

This is an amazing hotel from both a structural and an atmosphere point of view. Everything here is grand and you truly feel like you are at a palace. The staff are awesome, friendly and very helpful. The rooms are amazing and clean. The nightlife has a little for everyone and goes until the partiers are done. During the day you have a world class view and easy access to all amenities. The currents are strong so ocean access from the beach will have you entering cautiously.
The room, ocean view and a la carte meals are all amazing and romantic. This is the place for relaxation and romance.

This is the only place I have seen that matched exactly with the pictures on the internet. . I was amazed at how clean the resort was. The staff was constantly cleaning, mopping, polishing every spot in the resort. The food was excellent, staff extremely friendly and accommodating. Entertainment was good, not great. I would suggest checking locally for excursions, they are a little expensive through the resort. All the pools are amazing. There were not many children while I was there. Seems like more of an adult resort to me. Loved it and I will go back.

Room Tip: The middle part of the hotel faces the beach more. The sides of the hotel are good rooms too.

We had a great stay here as a anniversary trip. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very clean and up to date. Loved the infinity pools. This is an all inclusive resort and with past inclusive stays at other resorts that we have had the draw back is the food, however we enjoyed the breakfast but after a couple meals we ate the rest of our stay at the marina. Also we could only book one of the restaurants at night when we checked in due to them all already being booked which was disappointing! Beach is not swimmable due to current there were a few who seemed to try however and there is life guard. We can't wait to return to cabo! This resort is just about 7 min taxi to marina
