“Bi-annual vacation”

We absolutely love this place! This is a quiet retreat with moderate activity, and music. if you are looking to party, play your own music at the pool, and force others to listen to your music choice this is NOT the hotel for you. if on the other hand you are looking for a higher end spa like experience. This is an excellent choice! We have been back ever 6 months for 3 years. Why? it is consistent, no surprises. We go looking for a relaxing, pampering time too recharge. The staff is always the same which means they stay because they enjoy their job. The resort amenities keep improving with technology. The food is excellent, and that too keep improving. We have already booked our 7 trip back in January.

Room Tip: every floor level has an ocean view other than the bottom floor which is a garden view.

We booked our honeymoon back in June for our November stay at the pueblo bonito Pacifica hotel. We booked a 2 week all inclusive stay since we were celebrating my birthday as well as our honeymoon. I had emailed the resort prior to our trip since I saw on the website they offer a complimentary honeymoon package. I was told in an email that this is only offered if you book directly through their web site. Fair enough. We arrived at the hotel and checked in. We were taken to a room with 2 double beds despite our booking this trip 5 months prior and requesting a king. We had to speak with a manager and were initially told their were no rooms available with king beds. Then 2 mins later we were told that we would be moved to a room with a king bed. How thoughtful considering it is our honeymoon and we would like to share a bed at the very least. The hotel did not do anything at all special for us. We attempted to reserve a beach bed and were told to go to the lobby, who told us to go to the concierge, who told us to go to the hostess. I approached her with wallet in hand and asked if we could book the bed for the day. She told me she would have to check and see what was reserved already. I sat and waited for her to return but no she she just walked by us and tended to other ppl. After about 20 mins I got up and left since no one could be bothered letting us know what was going on.
That being said, so far I have not been happy with the customer service I have received on what should be the best vacation I have ever had.
The food, drinks, and general accommodations have been great. And the waiters, bartenders, and activity staff have been friendly and pleasant.
I guess I expected more from a 5 star all inclusive resort that caters to adults. I thought that they would appreciate that I had chosen to spend 2 weeks here for my honeymoon and birthday. But I was wrong to have such high expectations.

it was our first trip to Cabo and a love from the first sight. Our plan was one week of resting, reading, swimming, eating good food and drinking umbrela coctails made with good quality alcohol and ingredience, but most importantly enjoying ourself.
We choose this hotel (all inclusive), because it's an adult only stay (no screaming kids).
Although the beach is beautiful you are not allowed to swim in the ocean, it's too dengerous because of the strong current, but it's perfect for long walks though. View is amazing! There is always 2 swimming pools (one with a bar) and the hot tub left, plus free shuttle will take you to the other Pueblo Bonito hotels in Cabo, where the ocean is calm.
Service was VERY friendly and polite, great food (a la carte restaurant), and bartenders know how to pamper you with coctails. Everybody was doing their best to make us happy.
If you search for romantic get away I recomend this place.

First trip to Cabo and our first adult only stay. AI is mandatory - there are no kitchen suites. I cannot find fault on anything about this resort besides the fact that you CANNOT swim in the ocean. 24 hour room service at no extra charge, superb bedding, great views. What didnt quite meet my expectations but by no means makes me think any less of this resort... the fridge in the room did not keep contents cold - when i called i was told that's how their fridges worked, they didnt get cold??? what!!! then why have them? that's not very environmentally friendly using that electricity for a fridge that doesnt get cold. There were no slippers in the room and after the first day the maid removed one of the two bathrobes and never replaced it. I must comment on the housekeeping... not one day was my room cleaned before 3pm, even when i called and requested my room clean, it did not get cleaned. The beverages were plenty and strong, the food was 4.5/5 - did not like the breakfast buffet, we are early risers and not once did we get a hot buffet, even when we were there withn 15 minutes of openning - i enjoyed their breakfast menu so not a big deal. I will definately return to this resort

We stayed at the Pacifica at the end of Sept, first week of October 2013. The only complaint we had for our stay happened upon check-in, as the front-desk had no idea it was our honeymoon (not sure who's mistake this was, our travel agency or the hotel) - But the front desk tried their best to make up for it. After that everything was great, easily the BEST All-Inclusive we have stayed at. From the first day we were impressed by the service and quality of food. The resort is immaculate and very relaxing. It is the perfect contrast from the party atmosphere of the Los Cabos town area.

The dinner at Siempre was absolutely amazing! Every night it was like 5-star dining, and honestly some of the best meals we have ever had - I didn't think I would ever say that about an All-Inclusive resort. Breakfast was great there too - we found ourselves ordering from the menu most days, and everything we tried was very tasty. If you get the chance, try out La Frida at the Sunset, it is definitely worth the extra money.

The staff were all great and very helpful, I've read a lot of reviews saying the service is slow - but we didn't really notice it all. But then again, we were never in a rush on our vacation...maybe some people just need to slowwwww down and relax.

Our room had a pretty good view of the ocean - and we had no complaints at all. We felt right at home in our room and I would say these rooms were definitely well above-average (compared to some of the resorts we have stayed at). The bed was very comfortable. Mini-fridge is a bit small, but perfect for two of us (as long as you don't drink more than 4 beers a day in the room...which we sometimes did).

Overall we had an amazing stay. We have never felt like returning to another resort after spending 7+days, but we will definitely come back to the Pacifica the next time we are in Los Cabos.

We stayed between Oct 9-15 2013 in a deluxe room, with a king-sized bed, and had an overall relaxing trip. The bed was comfortable, but don't forget to ask for extra pillows-there is a pillow menu and the softer pillows make a huge difference. The air conditioner in the room worked great, the bathroom/shower was clean. Housekeeping came regularly and cleaned our suite. There are 2 pools and there were always ample lounge chairs and towels by the pool for us. The concierge was accommodating in helping with transportation and reservation needs. We didn't have an ocean-view room, but you don't really need one-you can walk right out of your door and the ocean is right there pretty much. You can also hear the loud waves from all over the resort, which was relaxing. Although you aren't able to swim in the ocean that this resort sits on, it is still nice to walk on the beach and watch the sun set each night. The waves and undertow are far too dangerous to swim in, so swimming is restricted. We simply took the free shuttle from the Pacifica, to their sister resorts, and swam/kayaked in the ocean there. As far as dining, Siempre had a really nice Sunday breakfast brunch, as well as a pretty decent breakfast buffet every other day of the week-plus their dinners were very good. Pescados had excellent sushi, but they seemed under-staffed each time we ate there, so service way slower than it should've been. The sashimi was delicious. We also ate lunch at Fellini's, one of their sister resorts, which had good service and fresh food-as well as dinner at The Bistro at Pueblo Sunset-the tortilla soup, french onion soup and chile relleno was perfect, although the wait and service wasn't too stellar. We ordered room service twice-not too good, unfortunately the quality of the room service meals were way beneath that of the meals in the restaurants. We ate meal, after meal, at 3 of the Pueblo resorts, and had no major problems, and no illnesses. However, we became violently ill after coming back from a snorkeling cruise on the Oceanus snorkeling cruise ship. 2 days of our vacation were completely ruined from this. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT waste your time, money or health on the Oceanus snorkeling cruise!!! The snorkeling gear was also disgusting and seeemed unsanitary. I highly recommend sea kayaking as an activity because you can go at your own pace and take in all the sights. The only issue I really had with the resort was that they seemed way too under-staffed, so we did a lot of waiting around, even when we had reservations. They made up for this with good food and by treating us well, but it seems like a resort this nice should've had more staff to accommodate their guests. We didn't utilize any of the spa services, so I can't speak for their spa. The views from all over the resort are breathtaking. I didn't appreciate how careless some of the taxi drivers were, when catching rides to town and back-very careless and dangerous driving, a total disregard for their passsengers. However, the resort shuttle drivers were nothing like some of the taxi drivers we encountered. One word of advice, schedule your shuttle ride from the airport to the resort in advance, before you get there, because once you get off the plane and through customs, you are immediately hassled and harrassed at the airport, to try and sign up for a time-share presentation. They will offer you all kinds of free this and free that-don't do it, it is NOT worth it and it will waste your vacation time. Also, don't expect anything special from shopping in town-every single vendor has the SAME exact JUNK, I kid you not. Going into town (shopping on the streets) is a complete waste of time and you won't find anything worth while. The hotels and the vendors on the beach also sell the same exact stuff that you can find on the streets downtown.

Room Tip: Our deluxe, king bed room, on the first floor, was fine and had easy access to the pools and restaur...

I cant argue about going on a trip for free, but it truly was for business. Staff was polite but if you ordered at the sushi restaurant, your better off trying to catch your own meal at the beach. It took forever or you never got it at all, plus it was poor quality. If you were at the pool bar you got your drinks quick, if you sat at a chair, it would take a long time so order 2-3 at one time to have extra. Since I was there for work i used the internet, the internet was poor at best and never worked. No cell phone coverage (Verizon). Rooms were average at best and I stay in 100+ hotel rooms a year and see my share of good or bad. Currents at the beach are so strong you cant swim either...
