At the beginning of November, our office was invited on a corporate trip down to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and we stayed at the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica. We enjoyed it very much. The staff and people we interacted with were extremely attentive and considerate to us, especially Magda and Daniel, in concierge, and Marco and Karim, bellhops and valet. These four individuals always greeted us with a smile and always seemed genuinely interested in what we were going to do during our stay and also had many suggestions of places to visit, things to see, and restaurants to dine in. Definitely hit them up for dinner input. Since it is an adults only hotel, it is nice and quiet and you can feel relaxed during your stay. The beauty of the resort being all inclusive, is that you can go up to the Pueblo Bonito Sunset and dine at the many restaurants that are there. The only drawback to Pacifica is that it has one main restaurant. After a week, it gets to be tiring and we found ourselves eating off property. There are many amazing restaurants in the city! I highly recommend this resort.
Oh, and the spa is spectacular!
As a bonus, the sunsets each and every night are spectacular!

Room Tip: All of the rooms face the Pacific Ocean!

My husband & I just stayed at this resort with two other couples for a week ending November 15, 2013. We attended the presentation with the understanding we would receive a resort credit, same as the other two couples in our party, however, when it came time to receive the vouchers, we were told the proper paperwork wasn't filled out and nothing could be done about it. The tour sales representative, Peter, did tell us if we decide to buy we could have whatever we want. Then to add insult, the sales manager, Javier, told us we were not invited to attend the tour, after we'd already spent three hours listening to the sales pitch & visiting model homes. This was clearly a lie as we we're invited upon check-in, just like every guest is. The residence we stayed in did not have hot water, water pressure, a clean pool, working televisions in the rooms, an awful smell in the restroom drain, and the air conditioning didn't cool down the first part of our stay. It took several calls & finally on day 4 of our stay, maintenance showed up only to fix some of the items. Lastly, the wait for transportation from the main lobby took more than 30 minutes on two occasions. We have stayed here before but the service on this trip was vet poor. I suggest others search for a different resort.

We absolutely loved this resort! This is a fantastic property for anyone looking for a higher end beach-front resort experience. The secluded beach, variety of pools and stunning scenery did not disappoint! This property provides a quiet, relaxing atmosphere if that is what you are looking for but if you are ready to party they cater to that as well. The rooms are good size, well maintained and most provide a great view of the beach. We had especially good service at the bars and restaurants. The servers went above and beyond to take care of our needs and make our experience a memorable one. Our waitress the day we rented a beach bed made us feel like royalty, she was wonderful! La Siempre is delicious and well worth the reservation. We also really enjoyed La Frieda (well worth the upcharge) and the amazing recommendations from our server. The food was outstanding at both of these locations. Shuttle service to the other resorts is definitely a bonus but I would recommend a taxi if you are in a hurry and don't want to have to wait. The bell hops at the front entrance are extremely friendly and provide great suggestions for things in town, we LOVED Antonio!
We were slightly disappointed with the front desk service. First, at check in, they forgot our 'honeymoon package' that we added to our reservation on their website. When we mentioned it to them the apologized and said they would correct it. After inquiring about this two different days and not getting any results we finally gave up. We also had a long wait for our room to be ready which was frustrating after a long day of travel.
Overall, we had an amazing trip and would return to this location as the beach, view, etc. are amazing. Be sure to take the shuttle and explore the other sister properties! It is great to be able to have a variety of different locations to explore. As for all of those reviews about missing pool tiles, ignore them! Those people are obviously missing the big picture!

This was ok for the price and great for a quiet adults only get away. We recently stayed a week with now all inclusive meals. Very pricey meal plan for c quality food. When we stayed in 2009 it was much better. Maintenance need to improve as well as food quality to get back to 4 star rating.

It will need work and better direction from management. Staff and service folks were wonderful but also agree things went down hill since 2009. they seem to be frustrated also.

We got sick of the food after day 4 but the service was outstanding. no great taste and for these price it should not be B grade food. This has dropped in quality a lot and can be seen by no reservations on peak meal times in the formal dining. too bad I guess for AI its better than most but you have to decide. 3 1/2 star now at best. and showing wear and lack of funding to keep it up. weeds everywhere tile work needed by pool and little service staff compared to 2010/ 2009.

Rooms had poor decor barly any wall art. stains everywhere. you should have seen the robe with stains that had to be sent back so poor.

this is a wonderful location and such a shame its nor catering to the 2 and 3 star folks for money reasons. we wish it was the same old place with higher standards.

Dont get me wrong its peaceful and tranquil and great service with awesome beach (not swim-able) .

we would not stay again and we do own time shares with Pueblo Bonito sunset.

Management need to improve this place asap if they expect return guests. For $400 and up per night many other choices in cabo .

We were four married couples with young kids in our early forties (although one of the guys was a bit older.) Pacifica did not disappoint. The resort felt uncrowded although we were told it was full. We felt the service was adequate. We did tip the servers regularly and found that some small tips went a long way. Gregorio at the pool and the wonderful lady at Siempre who made the omelets everyday were the best. We very much enjoyed dinner at the sister properties. We went to Fellini's at PB Rose and also LaFrida at PB Sunset Beach. Both of the restaurants were spectacular. If I had one disappoint, it was that the pool bars ran out of cans of beer everyday and we were then forced to drink tap beer, Overall, it was a great experience.

We absolutely love this place! This is a quiet retreat with moderate activity, and music. if you are looking to party, play your own music at the pool, and force others to listen to your music choice this is NOT the hotel for you. if on the other hand you are looking for a higher end spa like experience. This is an excellent choice! We have been back ever 6 months for 3 years. Why? it is consistent, no surprises. We go looking for a relaxing, pampering time too recharge. The staff is always the same which means they stay because they enjoy their job. The resort amenities keep improving with technology. The food is excellent, and that too keep improving. We have already booked our 7 trip back in January.

Room Tip: every floor level has an ocean view other than the bottom floor which is a garden view.

We booked our honeymoon back in June for our November stay at the pueblo bonito Pacifica hotel. We booked a 2 week all inclusive stay since we were celebrating my birthday as well as our honeymoon. I had emailed the resort prior to our trip since I saw on the website they offer a complimentary honeymoon package. I was told in an email that this is only offered if you book directly through their web site. Fair enough. We arrived at the hotel and checked in. We were taken to a room with 2 double beds despite our booking this trip 5 months prior and requesting a king. We had to speak with a manager and were initially told their were no rooms available with king beds. Then 2 mins later we were told that we would be moved to a room with a king bed. How thoughtful considering it is our honeymoon and we would like to share a bed at the very least. The hotel did not do anything at all special for us. We attempted to reserve a beach bed and were told to go to the lobby, who told us to go to the concierge, who told us to go to the hostess. I approached her with wallet in hand and asked if we could book the bed for the day. She told me she would have to check and see what was reserved already. I sat and waited for her to return but no she she just walked by us and tended to other ppl. After about 20 mins I got up and left since no one could be bothered letting us know what was going on.
That being said, so far I have not been happy with the customer service I have received on what should be the best vacation I have ever had.
The food, drinks, and general accommodations have been great. And the waiters, bartenders, and activity staff have been friendly and pleasant.
I guess I expected more from a 5 star all inclusive resort that caters to adults. I thought that they would appreciate that I had chosen to spend 2 weeks here for my honeymoon and birthday. But I was wrong to have such high expectations.
