Just got back from a five night stay at this beautiful resort. Having read some of the reviews going into the trip we were a little skeptical. However, come to find out, some of those reviews were on some of the other Pueblo Bonito Resorts. We stayed at the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica (adults only, all-inclusive). First, I'd like to mention something about the airport and the time share hounds, because I wish I'd known that going through the airport. You must go through two sets of doors to get past all the time share people to get a Taxi. We went through one set of doors and let our guard down because we thought we were past the Time Share people. You must go through two sets of doors to get to the Taxi stand. However, we did receive a lot of compensation for going to the time share presentation. Now to the hotel review. The grounds are beautiful and meticulously kept. The rooms are clean and well kept as well. There is a small mini-bar in the room with Diet Coke, Coke, Pacifica, Corona, 4 waters, Sprite, and Diet Sprite.
They refill these everyday but if you need something restocked they will immediately come do it. Bed and pillows could be a little more comfortable but maybe I'm just picky. Our room was an Ocean View which we paid extra for, but looking at the hotel layout it looks like most of the rooms have some sort of view of the ocean, maybe just not as good as ours. We found the hotel to be very quiet and peaceful. If you are into a lot of night life and action this is probably not the resort for you. The beach here is private with no peddlers trying to sell you stuff. The beach here is not swimmable at all, but is very pretty and well kept. The cabanas on the beach are well worth the $40 to use for the day. We were able to relax in the cabana and had excellent wait staff to serve us lunch and drinks etc throughout the day. The food overall was good for an all-inclusive resort. The sushi restaurant wasn't great, my boyfriend compared it to supermarket sushi. I however didn't find it that appalling. The Siempre restaurant was excellent. Dinner at the Siempre restaurant consisted of lots of choices, including a few special items for an extra fee (lamb or lobster). The lobster was amazing and was worth the extra fee. All the seafood served here tasted fresh and was very good. My boyfriend had a few steaks that he liked as well. Breakfast buffet at the Siempre was good with lots of choices. You can also order off a menu for breakfast if you wish. The desserts here are nothing special and could definitely be improved upon. The fish tacos served out in the pool area restaurant are very good. The alcoholic drinks are a little hit or miss taste- wise depending who is making them. We found the drinks tasted better if you ordered them yourself directly from one of the bar-tenders. All the service and wait staff here were fantastic. Always very friendly with a smile on their face and happy to serve you. Gregorio at Siempre restaurant was fantastic and went above and beyond. The pools (2) were well kept and clean. Also there was a large spa. The weather was warm while we were visiting, however this resort is very windy because of its location on the pacific side of Cabo. The hotel has built screens and has glass shields around the pool to cut down on the amount of wind which is nice. The breeze was nice at times and helped to keep you cool during the day in the sun. Bring plenty of sweaters for night time because it does cool down once the sunsets especially with the wind. There are fire pits by an outside bar at night with a live band certain nights of the week. They were good and entertaining. During the day there were lots of activities available even though we did not participate in any of them. All in all it was a great trip and was very relaxing. The only reason why I cannot give it five stars is because it is not perfect and there is always room for improvement. Would definitely go back.

We just returned from a lovely week in Cabo 4/11-4/17/2014. This particular property was outstanding in all regards. The staff were all incredibly nice and cordial. The facility was very clean and immaculately maintained. The service was excellent...even beyond that considering we were on the all inclusive plan. Many times all inclusive means slow service, marginal food and drinks... Not here. The food was very good, not excellent, but very good and there was always many, many choices. The theme notes were very fun...Asian nite, Kabob nite, grill nite etc. There was entertainment several nites at dinner that were also very fun and a welcome change. The daytime activities were also fun and the director along with her sidekick were quite entertaining in their own right.

The waiters were all outstanding. We especially enjoyed Pedro Guzman for our nightly dinners, Alberto for breakfast, Wilver and Oscar at the pool just to name a few. We never lacked for a beverage, menu or anything else. These guys rocked. Gabriela the Hostess was also very accommodating and always got us seated promptly, answered our questions and kept the place running very smoothly.

The location is great, can easily walk to town. The beach is phenomenal. They rope off an area so the vendors are kept at bay but still available.

There is small area where one can access the internet, the access is slow, but remember you are on vacation and should only need to check emails to be sure everything at home is ok...no need to be surfing or Facebooking or Twittering...relax, enjoy the sun, sand, culture and cocktails for Pete's sake.

Stayed for 7 days.

Have done plenty of traveling and came here with and OPEN mind and had a VERY positive experience. Read all the reviews prior and did my homework.

Highly recommend building 14 or 15 on the 2nd-5th floor helps. But we had end unit in 15 and had panoramic views!! Listened to waves crash from room.

Brought lots of small bills. We tipped everyone even just small tips and glad we did! I spend a lot more for a lot less at 5 star resorts. This is a 4 star resort with 5 star service and quality staff!

Love the adults only, No riffraff.

The spa here is good, restaurants are decent and room service was good. Taxi always ready to take you anywhere!

We did spa massages, exercised, ventured out to town, fished off shore and at resort, walked, dined, shopped and visited sister resorts. Hands down this takes the cake for rest and relaxation.

But PBBlanco treated us well when we stopped in for dinner after walking the town.

Guests at PBPacifica came from Canada and us mainly. Very delightful people and made many many friends.

We caught fish off this beach (Bring surf rods and large poppers) Siempra restaurant cooked up our catch and wow the chef did an amazing job.

Be sure to verify the Daily activities, buffet of the day, and ask about spa specials as it can be a guessing game depending on who you ask.

All inclusive here is the only way to go!

Nice place. Typical all inclusive watered down drinks. Food below average. Wait staff is friendly and prompt. Pools are nice. The beach is very nice and very few people but that's only because it is too dangerous to swim. Thank god there were no kids around. After running the gauntlet of time share vultures at the airport, did not expect to get more of that while checking in at the resort. Probably will be our last all inclusive vacation.

My husband & I decided to get married in Cabo after falling in love with the beaches, people & marina. We searched for a great hotel & were blessed to come across Pueblo Bonito Pacifica. The experience that we had there was impeccable. From Edu, Guillermo, Karim & Alfredo when you first walk in to Raul & Martin at the front desk. We felt right at home. Our Butlers Ramon & Paola goodness what can I say. They were AMAZING! Erika, Javier at the Siempre restaurant and Jonathan by the pool were wonderful with us & our guest. Even our cleaning Lady Elena left a great impression on us. Words can not express how much love & attention we received during our wedding/honeymoon. Everything was perfect thanks to our wedding coordinator Denise Acosta. We will be back next year to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary. Thank you all for making our special day even more special.

Our time could not have been any nicer. The resort was very welcoming and serene, the food choices and quality was superb. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Beach was beautiful and walkable.

We would come back again.

Room Tip: I would recommend the west wing, closer to the beach as you can.

After doing some research, I chose Pueblo Bonito Pacifica for a luxurious and relaxing getaway for a group of seven women. Given that most of the reviews were positive, I decided this was the best place for us; however, we were all extremely disappointed!

Before I mention the negatives, these were the positives: room service, service in the restaurants, beautiful view (even though beach is not swimmable), and Magda from concierge who was wonderful in helping me with flower arrangements for our rooms.

The things that were really disturbing during our stay were:

1. WE FELT LIKE WE WERE BEING STALKED. Family members that had recently moved to Cabo decided to visit me at PBP, but they were not allowed to enter the grounds at first (which was odd to me and embarrassing). After talking to different lobby staff, they finally agreed to let them enter under two conditions, that we stay in the dining area and that one of my guests wear pants instead of shorts! So, I had to go to my room to give her a pair of my pants. The staff continued to monitor our every move. At one point, they stopped one of my guests and escorted her out. I was humiliated. Throughout the night, the front desk called all our rooms, harassing us, and there was no way to unplug the phone since our group communicated by calling each others’ room. This set the tone for the rest of our stay.

2. AMBIANCE FELT EERIE AND RESTRICTIVE. The rest of our time was ruined. Whenever we would come or go, unfriendly staff would keep a close eye and often say things like, “they’re here” or “the women are leaving” on their walkie-talkies. We did not feel comfortable walking on the property.

3. THE CONCIERGE AND FRONT DESK STAFF WERE RUDE AND DISHONEST. We spoke to Paulo in concierge to help us get to the airport on our last day, but somehow he made assumptions and gave us wrong information. Due to this mistake, a woman in our group paid double for transportation and missed her flight. I understand mistakes happen, but rather than getting a simple apology, we felt like we were being attacked. Front desk staff even got involved Martin Ayon and Miguel Angel were extremely rude and even threatened to charge me for having guests over. When asking to speak to their supervisor, they pointed to a book on their counter which had the name of the president of PBP, Ernesto Coppel. I was just appalled by their lack of customer service.

I do quite a bit of traveling and I have stayed in hostels, homestays, all-inclusive resorts, etc. This was by far the worst experience. I love Baja California, Mexico and I write this review in hopes that people have an amazing experience in a beautiful country, by avoiding this chain of “luxury” hotels and resorts.
