Pueblo Bonito Pacifica sits beautifully on the ocean. The view of waves crashing on to the beach is breathtaking -- BUT the undertow is so powerful that despite flying thousands of miles to this touted resort, you aren't allowed in the ocean. Oh sure, you can take a bus to a nearby beach where you can swim but if you dream of falling out of your bed into the surf -- this is NOT the place. So what do you do at Pacifica? the answer is -- not much. Sure the food and drink is inclusive but although they try hard, its just good -- not great. Finally, you can get some free time in the spa by taking the tour of the time share facilities. Do it. Its interesting -- just think hard before you respond to their hard sell.

My husband and I just spent 7 days and 6 nights in this deluxe vacation resort. We spent a lot of time at the main pool and were waited on hand and foot by Roberto and Elisah at the Sky pool. We opted for the all inclusive for the entire visit, which provided a wide variety of food and drinks including favorite alcoholic beverages. Accommodations far exceeded my wildest dreams. Grounds were well kept, all staff went out of their way to make our stay very pleasant.
A couple of suggestions to improve the resort is to work on replacing broken jets in main spa at the main pool and repair missing tiles in that area as well. The other suggestion would be for them to do a better job of informing their guest about activities during the week. We will go back year.

My wife and I stayed at Pueblo Bonito for a week in July 2014 and had a very relaxing time. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful with our every need. The restaurant options were very good at the resort and in fact, better than some of the restaurants we tried in town. I cannot stress enough how good the service was at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica, especially after visiting Pueblo Bonito Rose, which was less than stellar. We spent a day at the beach in the cabana and Jorge was very helpful, bringing us drinks and cold water every 10 minutes....Blanca by the pool was very conscious of making sure we had beverages and food throughout the day. As it relates to the food options, we thought Pescados (sushi) was very good, while they did not have that many options, it was all very fresh and tasty. Julio was a phenomenal waiter and always remembered my wife's love for extra ginger with her sushi. We thought that Siempre had a very good menu and all of the fish/seafood on the menu was fresh and well done. Manuel and Gregorio were our favorite waiters and always made sure that we had a fresh drink and that we were happy with our seating, our dishes and the overall experience. We truly had a wonderful stay at the resort and would recommend it to all of our friends. Magda in the concierge was very helpful in helping plan our daily trips to the zipline's, the snorkel/cruise, etc. Hope to make it back to the resort soon!

My husband and I recently returned from a 4-nite stay at PBP. The drive into the Pacifica property is gorgeous! We arrived at 12pm and our rooms weren't ready. We changed into our swimwear and headed to the pool for lunch. The grounds of the resort are gorgeous and clean. Our room was ready around 3pm. We had an oceanview room 1137. The room was clean and had plenty of room. The view from the room was great. The air-conditioning was excellent and there is a ceiling fan which helps keep the room cool. The only thing missing is a bathtub and the showers need nicer showerheads.
The food at the resort was excellent. Our top recommendations are the fish tacos poolside, sea bass and chocolate fettuccine at Siempre and the prime rib at the Sunday brunch. We never had a bad meal and the service was good in the restaurants.
We were always able to find seats around the pool. The poolside service was hit/miss but the service at the pool bar was excellent. The water in the pool was a nice temperature.
The spa services were good but pricey. I had a hot-stone massage and my husband had the gentlemen's facial and pedicure.
The resort has a small number of rooms but is quite spread out. We didn't visit Sunset, as other guests had been there and reported it was overridden with children. Some guests at Sunset were spending their time at PBP to avoid all of the children.
We will return to the PBP, the only negatives were the following:
The elevators in our building were not functional for most of our stay. They would be fixed and then wouldn't be operational again in a few hours. For 2 nights there was a group of single men staying on our floor who would roll in around 3am and were extremely loud with shouting and banging which went on for hours. My husband asked them to quiet down once but then they would start in again.
The bars need to offer an appetizer menu rather than just a bowl of pretzels. The only food available is in the restaurants (which require reservations) or at the buffet.
The nightly poolside buffet food is above-average but don't bother to get dressed to eat at the buffet. Its more geared towards people who are still at the pool and are dining in swimwear.
The martini bar didn't have olives and the pool ran out of canned and bottled beer 2 days.
There is an activities board by the pool but it doesn't list where the activities take place. PBP needs to communicate when and where the daily activities are taking place as well as the buffet theme for the evening. Many resorts put a flyer on the bed at turndown or post a sign around the elevators to let the guests know what is happening each day.
We had turndown service 1 of 4 nights. Housekeeping totally skipped cleaning our room one day.
Overall, we had a fabulous stay and didn't sweat the small stuff. We plan to return next year!

Room Tip: Book at least ocean view level.

Being an adults only hotel that is smaller means more attention from staff & little to no distractions from noise. It is very spa or zen like. From the first greeting to the last goodbye, the staff were very attentive & always so friendly & helpful. Karin greeted us the first day & made sure to see us off on our last day 7 days later. Hector was always helpful & ready with our drinks when we ate the buffet outside. Kanji made our drinks very much to our liking & the entire staff was such a pleasure. The beach is beautiful & peaceful with lots of room to roam. The food is delicious & the all-inclusive is definitely the way to go. And there are beach beds & private dining on the beach available as well. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a resort that is adult only, relaxing & not crowed.

Room Tip: We had a bottom floor which was great for the first five days, then someone checked in above us who...

This is our second trip to Pacifica in less than a year and this year we brought friends who also enjoyed their experience. There were definitely more people than in Sept, however we still found the service to be great (particularly Marco & Martin). Last time we split our time between Pacifica and Sky Pool @ Sunset, however, given the larger crowds, we spend almost ALL of our time at Pacifica. My only suggestions to Pacifica would be to vary the breakfast food a bit more and maybe offer a couple different menus at Siempre throughout the week. The food is very good but a bit more variety/ menu variation would be a welcomed change.

Just wanted to give you some feed back on the resort since I know that is important to you and or you to be a successful travel agent. The hotel was very nice, clean and that staff was very friendly. They would clean the room at least twice a day. If you are looking to get in the beach it's not the resort because, there is no beach access due to the waves being so strong and high. ( I already knew that so I was ok with that because I did research on that before I left)

The hotel was very mellow probably more for people in the 50's and 60's if you want to go to the pool and lay there and read with serenity music then it's the perfect hotel.

If you want to listen to music and noise is ok & enjoy drink next to the bar & have a good time then this is not the hotel). However, I would recommend Sunset which is a sister resort next door. Cabos was beautiful and we had a great time can't wait to go back. Next time I will be staying at the Sunset resort which is our type of socialization (not to out of control but more alive) only down fall is that it's huge and you need to take a golf cart to get to room, to lobby, to pool. VS were we stayed the size was perfect and easy access to everything in the hotel.

The bar tender Abraham was awesome... if you take care of him he will take of you... the bars close at 12:00 which is early especially if you rather be in hotel then out in town.
