We stayed at this resort and in cabo for the first time. We spent most money on paying for transportation. The resort only offered a shuttle to the sister resort Sunset Beach which never ran on time. We missed activities due to this. There were no activities. Could not even swim in the ocean. The food was poor and drinks were watered down. Got conned into going to a timeshare presentation at the main resort Sunset Beach in order to get free activities. Were told it was no pressure and we would be there for only 90 minutes max that included breakfast. We were there for almost 4. After we said we were not interested we were treated poorly and had to talk to several other sales people to get our free items. Would not go back here if you paid us. The worst resort we have been to.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we loved it! Upon arrival we were welcomed "home" and given a glass of champagne. The staff was courteous, friendly, and treated us like royalty. We were talked into attending a timeshare presentation upon arrival (they advertise it as a "welcome breakfast") but it was totally worth our time as were given a spa gift certificate and discounts on activities that we planned on doing anyway. Plus, we got to see another Pueblo Bonito property. Word of advice: rent a car or bring money to spend on taxis. They have a free shuttle but if you don't plan in advance, you may end up waiting for 2 or 3 hours to get on it. Pacifica is very isolated from the other resorts and downtown (bonus in my eyes) but it does make getting around on the shuttle a day-long process. We loved Pacifica WAY more than the other sister hotels. Leopoldo at Siempre restaurant was our FAVORITE server. He was very friendly, funny, and genuine. The massages we got at Armonia Day Spa by Carmen and Rosa were by far THE best massages we've ever had in our lives. And for an all-inclusive resort, the food was excellent (we especially enjoyed the sushi at Pescados). I am definitely recommending this place to friends and family. We will be back!

Room Tip: Higher floors have better ocean views.

We have typically been a Cancun patron, but decided to branch out. We are going to break it down for you...
Pro:
Mountainous backdrop
Thunderous waves
Decent service
Food was good (albeit limited)
Loved the airport! So easy!
Friendly staff
We were not approached for a time share

Cons:
Few options for 4-5 star adult only all inclusive
Expensive cab ride ($85 to resort and more expensive on return)
No champagne check in
1/5th the size of the 4-5 star Cancun options
Restaurant options include one restaurant or sushi bar. Otherwise, take a shuttle to sister hotel. All entertainment options are shuttled away from resort ( Cabo Wabo etc.)
Very small rooms which are ALL apparently ocean view. We changed rooms after the first night, the trade off was painful and laborious
We never had to leave a Cancun resort for entertainment options.
No evening entertainment
Mini bar + 2 Sprite, 1 Diet Coke, 1 Coke. 1 Pacifico, 1 Corona.
Small pool
One outdoor bar
No on site commissary store
No free porn
CANNOT access ocean unless you're shuttled again
There was a paucity of cleaning staff. Had to bribe to get service.
Breakfast options were limited
When you call for more beer, they will bring only 4.
All dinner options are by reservation only. MUST HAVE COLLARED SHIRT!
This is not a place for late teens/ early 20's or adults young at heart.
Mountains are barren with cactus and inaccessible.

Room Tip: The higher the better for good view

This was our first all-inclusive adventure ... and we loved it ! Food selections were varied, drinks were potent enough, hotel staff was superb ... at all three properties. Which is the bonus !! There are three hotels you can visit, to eat, swim, do something different every day. Brunch at the sister Rosa Hotel in downtown Cabo was terrific. Great buffet, right on the beach. Pacifica is over the hill, very private and quiet. The perfect retreat for a few days. Then there's the other sister hotel up on the hill .... shuttles to it run every few minutes. Different atmosphere, different food. Still superb. We were pleasnatlt surprised and look forward to going again. The secret: be as gracious as your hosts and tip a few dollars here and there and the hotel staff will be your best friend. It makes for a delightful vacation.

Room Tip: Any will do. Beautifully appointed, all quiet.

We recently had the pleasure of spending six days at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica and were pleased beyond expectation at the beauty of the resort and location, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, and the wonderful food that we enjoyed.
I really enjoyed the fitness area, which included a very nice gym which I used daily. It was very clean and contained some really nice equipment. My wife visited the spa on two different occasions and bragged that it was the best spa experience that she had ever had. Her Massage Therapist, Lupita, gave her the best massage ever, and she can't wait until next summer to see Lupita again when we return in the summer.
Also, all of the wait staff were incredible! They were very attentive, polite, very helpful, and fluent in English. We had one waiter in particular that we really liked and want to mention by name. Leopoldo was great. Not only did he do an excellent job when he served us in the restaurant, he became our friend. He was very knowledgeable about the resort, and genuinely cared that we had a great experience while we were there.
I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone traveling to Cabo San Lucas! As I said before,
We had an excellent stay there and we are planning to return again next summer!

not what it used to be. Same place different vibe once it turned all inclusive we feel it lost service edge. The spa is good, the sushi restaurant is good. Service was ok. The room we got was not worth the extra money we paid while booking online. All rooms are ocean view except for 1st floor. Room service is good. Sushi place was best place to eat. Make reservations, they may look empty and still tell you they are booked.
Taxi to airport is $ 95.00 unless you take shuttle that leaves only 3 times a day. Internet is very slow don't expect to get any work done.

Room Tip: go for regular room. Get the suite if you can.

Just returned from Pueblo Bonito Blanco! Andrea at the front counter was amazing, no question to small to answer. My family consisted of my husband and our 19yr. old son. We had not vacationed in Mexico before and hoped all our research on Tripadvisor would pay off with an informed vacation. It did! Rooms are all ocean views, ocean water is about 80 degrees which allowed me to be in the water everyday, morning, noon and night. My husband fished, my son and I zipped lined. We ordered ahead of time online which included transportation. Excellent customer service, very relaxing and fun. Hawaii is relaxing, Cabo is fun, both are great. My son hooked up everynight with other 18-20 yr olds to hang with. They enjoyed the clubs given they could not in USA. We all felt refreshed. Only suggestion, DO NOT STOP once you are past customs, go directly outside. We were ambushed as soon as we passed customs in the next room by timeshare sharks. After 30 minutes of being misled by fast talking salesman, we walked outside to the prearranged taxi awaiting us. A horrible experience given we had just landed in a new country. It will never happen again....We will go directly outside!

Room Tip: Request 3-5 floor. Rooms were so quiet!
