“Great trip!”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

I recently traveled to this resort with a group of nine for my 30th birthday - family, friends and significant other. We really enjoyed our stay, although it was a short trip of four days. Overall, the facilities are in great shape - they were working on some small scale renovations while we were there. The staff was very friendly and the food was much better than I expected for an all-inclusive resort.

There are several comments about how quiet this resort is, but I think it depends on your group. We met a couple groups of young people who were a lot of fun. Not all the guests were couples looking for a romantic getaway. The size of the resort is great for a group, because it's small enough you don't have to worry about having rooms right next to each other.

While the service was friendly, I would say it could be more timely. I wasn't expecting fast food speed, but 30 minutes for a sandwich at the swim-up bar when it wasn't busy seemed long. Room service often took close to an hour as well. They also advertise a martini bar, but the night we tried to go, it wasn't staffed even though it was open. There were several guests waiting around to be served and no one ever arrived.

The wi-fi was included in the all-inclusive package, but service was spotty for most of my group. Don't expect high speeds.

Otherwise, the tequila bar was our favorite evening spot. The sea food and signature restaurants were great. We loved the omelet station at breakfast and the Sunday brunch.

Two things to consider - as other reviewers noted, you can't go in the water here. We stayed in the pool the whole time and loved it, but it might not be the place for you if you want to be in the ocean. This resort is also pretty far from the airport. It took 90 minutes to get to the resort with four stops and one hour to get back to the airport with two stops.

Great property that exceeded our expectations. Friendly staff, clean rooms, good food...a very nice property only 10 minutes from downtown...but seemed very remote. This property sits less than 100 feet from the ocean on beautiful white sandy beaches...but there is no ocean swimming allowed here.

I stayed at Pacifica for 4 days and 3 nights. When you get your 'all inclusive' wrist band, keep in mind they will also try to get you to attend a timeshare presentation at the Sunset property just up the hill. It was worth it because they pretty much offered 2 free activities to attend a 90 minute presentation, but you have to be a stickler for wrapping them up in 90 minutes otherwise they will go on and on.

The rooms have a mold/mildew type smell to them, and the room definitely has some wear and tear. The bed was somewhat comfortable but the decorative pillows had a really weird mildewy smell to them, as did the comforter(the type of smell clothes have when you have left them in the washing machine too long and instead of rewashing them you just dry them). The shower doesn't drain well while you're showering so there's a pool of dirty water on your feet as you clean yourself. Make sure to hold the toilet lever down until everything flushes, otherwise it will not flush. The ac was set to 69, but never got the room really cold. The hotel is somewhat secluded and it was nice to not have children running around (as this is an adult only resort). Room service takes a long time and the food is cold/not fresh when it arrives. The resort is in a U shape so essentially all the rooms have some type of "view" of the ocean. If you pay for an upgrade for ocean view its not worth it. No free local calls, so have the concierge make your calls/reservations for activities for you. The wifi works all around the property so that was a plus. We ate at the poolside restaurant for lunch one of the days, and the food quality is like a step down from bowling alley food(mind you the same food is offered for room service). It pretty much fits the quality of food you would expect at an all inclusive(no so great). We ate lunch at Siempre one of the days and the food there was a little better but still not so great. One night we made reservations for Siempre and the dinner quality was A+. Prime rib, rib eye, risotto, definitely better quality. Breakfast at Siempre is pretty decent, the Sunday brunch is by far the best as there is fresh seafood, breakfast items, as well as lunch items. The Paella is to die for! We went for lunch one day at the Sunset property Bistro restaurant, and the food quality was better there. Ordering alcoholic beverages at any location equals watered down juice with bottom shelf liquor. You have to specifically ask for the 'known' name brand liquor otherwise your drink will be made with random no name liquor and taste like juice. We had drinks in the bar that is next to the lobby area and we had a great time. Moises was awesome! So was Ofelia! Wish the bar had better music though, as there is only one music station. The shuttles to other properties take some time to arrive so that's a little annoying, its almost like you can get there quicker if you hail a taxi.

Overall, the property is large, the rooms are mediocre and the food is decent depending on where you eat. I would not give this resort a 4 or 4.5 star, I think it's more along the 3- 3.5 range. It's quiet, adult only and the staff are relatively friendly. If I were to return to Cabo, I would not stay here again.

Very clean resort, and well maintained. Staff was very nice and courteous. Breakfast was great, and had a nice mix of Mexican and North American foods. Drinks were nice, and the swim up bar at the pool was cool to have.
The resort is not too far from downtown, and they have a shuttle every hour to one of their sister resorts closer to downtown. We stayed out late a couple nights to check out downtown, and it’s only $15 for a cab back.
We visited their sister resorts as well, and this one is less crowded and less noisy (most likely due to it being an adult only resort, and no kids allowed). Definitely felt like a secluded resort.
The only downside is that you can’t go in the beach water, however we were well aware before booking.
Would definitely go back.

This is a very clean, quiet and relaxing adult all inclusive resort. It's about a 10-15 min cab ride to the downtown area which was perfect for us because we did not want the "party hotel", and it was not crowded at all. It felt like we were in a secluded resort. I've been to a lot of all inclusive resort where food was at most mediocre and I must say, food here was pretty good, especially the breakfast buffet and poolside food. We visited La Frida restaurant for dinner at the neighboring Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Hotel and paid an extra $25 per person - definitely worth it because we had a great dining experience. We also visited Pueblo Bonito Rose and dined at Cilantro. Although the beachside view was amazing at Cilantro, the food was not. Siempre restaurant at Rose was not great either.

Overall, we had a great experience at Pacifica. Our rooms were cleaned daily, we did not need tickets for beach towels (you can get as many towels as you like! It's self serve), service was on point, food was good and facilities were clean. We'd like to thank Alexis our server who made sure we had plenty of food and drinks at the pool and beach. We'd definitely stay at Pacifica again. Highly recommend it.

My daughter and her finance returned to Pueblo Bonita Pacifica for their wedding, after becoming engaged there the year before. She had always dreamed of being married on a beautiful beach, and it turned out exactly as she envisioned. The resort was beautiful, peaceful, and most relaxing. I appreciated the adults-only option for our event. The staff was extremely professional and courteous - everyone seemed to love working there and they were all very friendly, happy and helpful. Every detail was impressive, from our room which had view of ocean even from bed, to the landscaped views and gardens at every turn, the excellent restaurants and buffet (especially the best-ever Sunday Champagne brunch, and favorite server Alex!) and the gorgeous pools and beach. We were able to enjoy the wedding without a care in the world, because the resort took care of everything. My daughter coordinated all details online with their wedding planner Denise, and everything went perfectly. We all had our hair done by Nora in the Armonia Salon and the up-do's were amazing! I had never stayed at an all-inclusive resort but now I would recommend it, especially for a wedding. Considering the quality of the experience I think the cost was very reasonable. I would definitely go there again for a reunion or just vacation with my husband!

Room Tip: Garden View room still had Ocean Views from 3rd floor and above

Outstanding. Hotel staff was exceptional - they made our stay a special time. Restaurant Siempre was very very good for every meal we went there for. Special kudos to Gregorio Castro, Gregorio Lopez and Alex Vega. Quivera Golf Course is stunning. Our 35th wedding anniversary trip will hold great memories for us.
