We are at the Riu Sante Fe right now anxiously waiting to leave on our flight home tomorrow morning. If you aren't a college student or someone who is looking to wear ripped tshirts and tank tops to dinner as you stagger through the buffet while others paw the food then stay away.
This resort looks beautiful and the staff are beyond helpful - the best we've experience. Unfortunately, the majority of the clientele who come here are students and adults who have no interest in a nice luxury vacation. It's volume based and cheap all the way.
The sports bar is comical - absolutely no satellite coverage. The NBA Finals have been on all week and the "sports bar" hasn't covered one game. The televisions have 3 english channels and don't offer movies. So - if you want to avoid the drunken partiers at night hanging around all of the public spaces you had better bring a good book. And ear plugs. The hallways have people screaming and yelling all night. Save your money and don't come here. The sad thing is that the staff are lovely and the property is gorgeous....so much potential. Ps. the a la carte restaurants are buffet and aren't open every night.More
