We had a wonderful time at Arrecifes since the moment we arrive, everything was incredible, Alberto treated us like royalty, we'll be back soon
Over all, the service was impeccable and so the food, it also had an amazing view from the bar looking at the ocean

We had our annual "Presidents Club" event here (Sales quota achievers). The hotel is stunning from it's layout, everybody loved the pools area; the bid disappointment was the steepness of the beach and the way the waves break makes swimming here a risky undertaking. The group before us suffered an injury that left a participant, who attempted to swim here in the wheelchair. If you are fine with the pool, you'll like the layout and generosity of the property. The adjacent golf course is so expensive that I considered trading my compact car for our flight of 4. I have stayed at many Westin's that were better maintained (construction dust and noise), overall cleaner and more affordable (take the chips and salsa for US$14.00 poolside). I cannot echo concerns about the service - everybody was super nice to us.

Dear Guest
Thank you for your review about your experience at the Westin Resort & Spa Los Cabos. We appreciate your comments regarding the stunning layout of the Hotel which is created by the famous Mexican Architect Sordo Madaleno. The hotel's architecture is one of the highlights of the destination, a unique resort overlooking the beautiful Sea of Cortez.
Most of the time the water is rather quiet and our guests enjoy swimming to feel the sea breeze. However, the condition of the sea can change any time and the hotel counts with a life guard watching the beach. I do not recall any incident on our beach this year that left guests injured and in a wheel chair, this may happened by an off property activities.
Los Cabos offers a total 12 golf courses which 5 courses are private. You have mentioned the adjacent property which is the famous El Dorado Golf course and a private infrastructure, not available for public. We do offer a Golf Concierge service that has a desk in the Hotel Lobby which we always suggest to contact to avoid any inconveniences for making any golf reservations.
I would like to mention our prices are generally the same in Los Cabos area as part of being a prestige destination, Guacamole with Chips has a cost of 120 pesos, Nachos with Salsa and topping comes with a cost of 170 pesos all dishes have 16% Tax included.
To clarify for any readers there was never a “construction” ongoing but due to our commitment to exceed guests expectations we were undergoing a process of updating & rehabilitation to enhance our infinity pools for a better functionality, both infinity pools situated directly in front of the beach are fully rehabilitated and in operation with the second pool liberated as tomorrow.

We visited from San Francisco and had the wine Tasting menu. It was 5 unbelievably amazing courses for a great price with hand selected wines to accompany each course. Delicious Mexican wines with superb service by Carlos Sobreranis and Edgar Salgado . Highly recommend this Dinner , you won't regret it.

Prior to coming, I had contacted Erika Gallardo, a Service Express Manager, about having a Scrabble game available for playing around the pool. She went out of her way to get the game and have it ready, even though we never really found the time to play. Between her excellent customer service as well as the front desk person, Arturo (Arthur?), I could not have been more pleased with how they (and all of the staff, including maid service) went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. I loved hearing the sound of the ocean at night and the views were incredible.

If I could offer one suggestion, it would be to reinstate (even if it's only 2-3 times a day) the golf cart ride from the hotel to the main road. I sprained my ankle back in town and it became expensive taking taxis back and forth. Even if one takes the bus into town, it's still 1/2 a mile or longer? from the road to the main lobby of the hotel, which is tough to walk limping with an injury.

Over all, it would be the wonderful customer service that would have me returning to this Westin.

My wife and I are spg members and decided to book a stay at westin los cabos. We booked our stay not knowing what was awaiting us at the resort. When we arrived we were brought to our room and looked out of our balcony to find the main large disappearing pool was under construction. That's a mild way to put a huge mess covered with tarps. We thought well a minor speed bump there's another pool on the property we could use. We were awoken the following morning at 8 am to jack hammering. The jack hammering resonated through the entire area for the next seven days that we were there lasting from morning until evening. After the jack hammering started we attempted to notify the hotel manager and see if they could switch us to a different hotel. After being on hold for twenty minutes we hung up and walked to the front desk where he was no where to be found. We had left two messages for him to contact us and were told that there were no other rooms available in the other spg property. We were stuck with the choice to stay or pay 3-400 hundred dollars a night to stay somewhere else. We used our American express spg card for two years to be able to afford this hotel. In addition we payed additional money to get a fancier room. We continued to try and contact the manager the entire stay and to no avail when we were checking out we finally spotted someone that looked like a manager and flagged him down. It turned out to be the hotel manager. We asked about our stay and why we were not contacted. With no response other than he would give us 10,000 spg points which is equivalent to one nights stay. We still haven't received the points and are in the still in the process of getting a refund from SPG and WESTIN LOS CABOS. Still waiting...............

It's understandable that regular maintenance and upgrades are a necessity to maintain a property. However not informing your guests and letting them decide if that is acceptable to them during there stay is not ok. Not addressing there needs or concerns during their stay is unacceptable. If you put yourself in our position I know that this would not be ok for you or your family.

I would highly recommend not to give your business to SPG or WESTIN LOS CABOS.

Room Tip: All rooms have a view of the ocean and were all exposed to the noise.

Thank you for sharing your feedback about your experience at The Westin Resort & Spa, Los Cabos. We would like to offer you a sincere apology for the inconveniences you encountered during your stay and would like to mention that we did not execute a construction but a soft rehabilitation of the surface at our existing large infinity pool. This pool is in operation since last week. Of course, we understand that not knowing that one of our swimming pools was going through this process can be unexpected, which motivated us to inform all of our guests upon check in that all of our services we offered with no limitations. In addition, we offered the advantage of using the other two pools of our hotel plus two infinity pools located at the next-door property and different rewards such us 2 x 1 excursion and tours activities. Here at The Westin, we are always striving to offer our guests a top class product and these upgrades are occasionally necessary. This hotel was absolutely amazing!! The property is absolutely gorgeous and fantastic. However, the best part of the entire stay was the people we encountered. The staff is by far and away the best hotel staff I have ever encountered. Ivan, Pool Concierge, was so instinctive. You barely left your room and he was already waiting by the pool for you with towels to put on your chairs. He would even take the time to tell us what days he would be off so if we needed anything to talk to a different person. I've never had that before. The bartenders at the pool were also amazing. I spent the entire week trying to figure out their system as they just seemed to know everyone's drinks and when to refill them without anyone saying anything. You have to get a margarita from Rigo or a Miami Vice from Jorge or Eduardo. Those 3 are the best!!

I could keep going on and on about this staff because they were just so amazing. Jaime always made sure we were taken care of, Fernando and Daniel were great servers, Adriana and Haydee made a point to say hi everyday, Daniel at the Front Desk, Oscar and Edgar at Arricefes treated us like royalty, and the list goes on.

I was in Cabo for a week and only left the property one day. I am already planning a return trip and this time, I won't leave the property at all!

We stayed at the Westin the first week of June and absolutely loved it! The staff was so friendly and helpful, especially Daniel! We also had a lovely meal at Arrecifes, would definitely recommend! We cannot wait to go back!
