“Just back from the Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos”
Reviewed 21 May 2014

We just returned from a fantastic trip to San Jose del Cabo. We returned from Holiday Inn where we have stayed many times. This was our first time since the name change. Many of the same people are still there like Raul at the front desk, Alma, Enrique, Juan and others. It was quiet and relaxing. Weather was warm but nice. I am already looking forward to another visit.

Room Tip: Rooms on the top level will give you a nice view.

Our stay was very nice. The staff was helpful, friendly and nice, all around excellent staff !! I would come back !! The price was very reasonable and the Hotel and rooms were clean. The food was good, Napa buffet for breakfast and the Frutas y Flores Buffet were my favorite, especially the Frutas y Flores, very charming interior.
The girls at the Spa were very good and professional, had a very relaxing 80 minute massage, so did my husband.
The beach was clean and I loved hearing the waves.
My only one issue, and not really a complaint, was the Time Share at the Hotel. Although they were very friendly, helpful and nice I did not realize this was going to be in the lobby. However, I can't complain...I got a really good deal on a Zip lining tour and they stayed true to they're word on keeping the presentation to about 40 minutes, even though I refused the offer, they were still nice and helpful afterwards.

My husband and I came here 2 years ago for our honeymoon. When we came we met Dagoberto and Marcos. Dago did an exceptional job and made us feel comfortable. 2 years later...(this week) we walk up to his station at the pool and he looked at us and smiled and said "hey! You're back!?" We couldn't believe that he recognized us!! He made us feel important! This time around we brought our family with us. We met some new faces, Eliud, our second favorite bartender was super fun! Another fun bartender they called "guero". Marcos, Jorge, Eufemio, & Gonzalo did a great job with making sure we were taken care of during breakfast, lunch and dinner. And the fun crazy activities guy Leonel kept us busy with bike rides and volleyball and aqua aerobics.

The hotel reminds me of an hacienda from the inside. It really gives it a Mexico feel. Cleanliness and organization is great. Rooms are nothing special but to me I don't care since we're always out. You do get a great view. Food is delicious and varies. Overall, I wouldn't stay anywhere else. It's very relaxing and everyone treated us amazing both times we have been there. Completely catered to us. Thanks guys for making our stay pleasant. We miss you guys already!

When visiting Cabo, the past few times we've stayed at the Riu Palace. This was a last minute getaway, and the Riu was not available. We took a chance on the Holiday Inn Resort and were pleasantly surprised. The grounds and rooms and dining areas were clean and well manicured, the food was good, with breakfast being the best meal of the day. The variety in all of the restaurants was very good. Drawbacks were they didn't serve top shelf liquor, but for the price of the all inclusive package, we were willing to overlook that one item. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We will certainly stay there in the future.

Hotel rooms were clean and rather quiet. Pool scene is obnoxious. There are group activities with mcs screaming on he microphone, interrupting any relaxation. When it is quiet, the pool is nice. Nice bar at pool. You can lounge by the beach but make sure to get seats by shaded awnings. Seagulls will eat straight off your plate while you are eating. If you go down to swim in the ocean, you will be bothered by people trying to sell cheap souvenirs. All inclusive is nice so you don't have to think about meals. Decent priced taxis into town.

Turn off your cell phone and enjoy. People at the hotel will take good care of you. Nice place to relax and find your place under sun.., beach is amazing…never crowded. Alma is the pearl of the hotel. Smile and service are excellent.
Small suggestion is to install the showers next to the adult pool as well as the washrooms.
Will be back soon.
