“A little Oasis”
Reviewed 14 June 2012

We recently booked 3 nights at Casa Natalia after a diving trip to relax. Once you enter the whole ambiance is so tranquil that you have to relax. The rooms and surroundings are absolutely gorgeous. The staff are friendly and attentive and so helpful. Dinner has to be experienced, the chef has a way of making foods surrender their natural flavours. It was superb. We will be back here on our last night and are already looking forward to repeating the experience.

Room Tip: Just ask the staff they will accomodate you

Nathalie and her staff run a class act.The staff are well trained and this reflects in the helpfulness and professionalism observed.
The hotel, and indeed, the rooms are immaculate with excellent furnishings, artifacts and personal touches.
Mi Cocina serves beautiful food and the bar staff are very proficient. The pool is a gem and the arrangement with the beach club at the Hilton is a big plus.
The location,in the historic old town,is charming and allows easy walking to other attractions.
We hope to be back and lucky enough to attend their occasional wonderful music evenings.
Hugo and Lesley--NZ

Room Tip: All good-- perhaps furtherest from restaurant best.

We stayed in this hotel and found the location, decor, layout and service to be superb. Having traveled extensively world wide it is rear to find a hotel where one is more than a customer. I this superb little hotel one is more than a guest.
I you have the chance to stay here I highly recommend that you treat yourself, you will not be disappointed.
During my stay I had trouble with lost travel documents and the staff where of invalubale assistance.
I highly recommend the Casa Natalia Hotel,

Casa Natalia has undeniable charm. My superior suite was delightful, with private terrace, spacious bedroom/living room area, and a large, well-appointed bathroom. The staff was warm and friendly, the grounds and pool area were gorgeous, and the service was pleasant.

I had asked for a quiet room, and thus was in the furthest building from reception and the bar/restaurant. I was grateful for the distance when the Friday night rooftop party generated considerable noise. While hotel guests were given freebie passes to the party, I would have preferred a quiet evening and restaurant service - it was closed in order to cater the event, which was a marketing ploy to show off a new, high-end suite. I felt like this compromised the hotel's service to paying guests, and was less than happy about it -- especially given the price point for this hotel.

Lighting in the bathroom, as noted by another reviewer, is weak, but as I was only staying for one night, it wasn't a big issue. More disappointing was the tepid water temperature in the shower. The weather was actually on the cool side at the time, so lack of truly hot water was annoying. Unfortunately, by the time I discovered the problem, it was late evening, so I didn't report it until checkout.

Wifi was included, and reliable. There was good storage space, and an in-room safe. I particularly loved my private terrace (hammock included!), and having a wonderful breakfast delivered there was a fantastic way to start the day. The service was prompt and the food was excellent.

Little touches like a cooler of ice (neatly tucked into a wicker basket) near each room, a "real" hair dryer, a magnifying mirror, bathrobes that were comfortably sized instead of gigantic, extra glassware, lots of windows for great cross-ventilation, and a disguised a/c unit (not needed given the prevailing temps), were appreciated. The location, right on the corner of the town square, is hard to beat, although road construction in the area presents some minor inconveniences at the moment.

All in all, Casa Natalia is a lovely property that could be perfect with a few tweaks. I'd stay again, but I'd check the water temp before shower time and I'd ask if there were any public events planned during my stay.

Room Tip: I'd suggest being as far from reception as possible.

We recently spent a total of three nights at the Casa Natalia, one before a cruise and two afterward. It's an amazing place. It's small, but for us that was a plus. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, each with a different theme, and include a lovely private porch complete with a hammock. The staff were very helpful with assisting with transportation to and from the cruise, which was a little complicated given our itineraries. We used the private transfer option which is not the cheapest but certainly the most convenient for us. I'm convinced that barkeeper Arturo makes the best Mojito in Mexico. The small bar, restaurant and pool areas made it easy to chat with other guests (mostly American). The hotel is located right on the square, so there is some noise, but it was not bothersome on the nights we were there. The restaurant is so good that we found chose to eat several meals right there rather than going out. My only complaint -- for me, the bed was rock hard. I ended up putting the couch cushions on the bed and covering them with the spare blanket. But I'd go back in a heartbeat. A slice of heaven!

Room Tip: The views and privacy are much better on the upper level. Worth the extra cost. If noise is a conc...

Casa Natalia is a beautiful hotel with a lot of charm.
We stayed in la Estrella and its features
include a patio that is conveniently located next to the pool.
The bed was perfectly made with flowers placed on top
of the linens and the room was very clean and well decorated.

The hotel is easily within walking distance to many shops and
restaurants in San Jose del Cabo. We would recommend Mi Casa
and the French Riviera.

Parking was a challenge during our stay due to road construction and a
fair the night that we stayed, although not due to any fault of Casa Natalia.
Many thanks to Caesar and Placido for going above and beyond in helping us
with this issue. If you are driving your car to stay at the hotel, you might
want to check ahead to be certain that you have the latest
directions and information.

Our stay was short but the hotel is truly beautiful and the
staff are friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: la Estrella is very close to the pool
