“Perfect Honeymoon spot: clean, classy, quiet and private!”
Reviewed 8 July 2011

My Husband and I spent our one week honeymoon at the Zoetry and we absolutely loved it! it exceeded our expectations on so many levels.

The food was great, (safe to drink the ice because they use filtered water), service was fast and always tastefully presented. There are no buffets, but rather a-la-carte ordering. The sister hotel, Dreams, is only a short walk across the beach (or a 5$ cab ride) which offers buffets and different restaurant options for those who want more variety. Its all included with your stay at Zoetry

Zoetry was perfect for a honeymoon-because it's such a small resort, it feels as though you are the only ones there. People start to know you by name and are extremely friendly. Karim from the front desk is extremely helpful and is always ready to guide you or answer any questions. His english is excellent, so there are no communication barriers. He's also a great photographer- everytime we ran into him, he'd offer to take a picture for us with our camera. I would recommend seeing him at the front desk if you stay at this hotel.

The rooms are super clean and housekeeping comes 3x a day to clean up and change towels. Be sure to put out the "do not distub" sign if you do not want them intruding during the day when you are in the room. They also provide complimentary laundry service- the clothes come back cleaned, ironed and hung on hangers!! The room comes with a big jaccuzzi tub that opens onto a beautiful view of the ocean.

The pools are nice and super clean , and most importantly never crowded or occupied with kids. There are always beach chairs available and you will never find lineups --its like you are the only one on the resort!

The water is nice, but too rough too swim. but if you walk a bit north towards the hilton, you can find an area that has calm waves where you will find people swimming and surfing. its about a 15 minute walk. Also, rumour has it that if you walk a bit north, you will see 2 identical beautiful villas which supposedly belong to George Clooney and Jennifer Aniston!!!!!!!

There are no partying or loud shows at the resort...if you want some more lively entertainment , walk over to Dreams-where they have shows every night at 8:30.

Downtown is only 20 min ride..its either 25$ one way by taxi or if you go to dreams, they have a shuttle that is 6$ one way per person. They drop you off at the big mall and pick you up whe you want to go home.

While i say this place is superb- there were a few things that may be bothersome to others:

1. There are lizards all over the place....they climb on trees by the pool, hide in bushes and at night, if you look up on the ceilings at the restaurants, you will see them walking on the ceilings. Thankfully, they dont come into the rooms but i'm the squemish type and i felt really uncomfortable sitting down when i saw lizards crawling on the ceiling. They are not harmful but i find them annoying.

2. The sand is very rough. its not the soft white sand you would expect, it rough and more like small rocks that hurt your toes when you walk on the beach. I wish i had runners with me because i could stand the feeling of rocks getting between my toes on the beach.

3. The menues can be a bit hard to understand if you are not familiar with mexican lingo. The menus are in english but some dishes will be described with mexican lingo and you dont want to keep asking the server to translate everything. We ended up ordering the same thing over and over because we didn't really know what the other dishes were.
The good thing about the buffet at dreams is that you can see eeverything being served and you serve yourself. We went over 3 times during our stay and we loved the buffet!

4. The hotel boasts complimentary wiereless internet but it was very intermittent and hardly ever working. signal was extremely poor and very unreliable.

-----Bottom line: I am quite a picky person, and very meticulous when it comes to forming opinions and i can strongly recommend this place to anyone and everyone who wants a nice quiet peaceful stay!!! seriously, this spot was greatttttttttttttt and honeymoon friendly!

Don't think about it- this is the spot to go in Los Cabos- decision made!

One week of complete relaxation. Amazing landscape and lots of swimming pools to make you feel like you're the only people in the resort.
Wonderful food at night. The beach chef is amazing.
That said their were some hiccups.
No mosquitoe spray available for those making it into the room. I even asked the housekeeping department and they did not have any.
Mexican food was disappointing and the quality of the food for lunch was on the whole very unreliable. We also had to wait a very long time for a simple glass of water. In these temperatures it would have been nice to get water straight away.

Room Tip: Room 2203 in annex buildings for quiet

Just spent 4 days at Casa Del Mar. My wife and I loved it. It felt like a private, high-end beach club rather than a corporate hotel. Low key and beautiful. Food: Very good. Never did it feel like an all-inclusive. Great menu options loaded w/ fresh fish and surprisingly good steaks. Breakfast was amazing (try the french toast). Drinks: creative twists and fresh fruit added life to the cocktails. Service: charming and accommodating.
We spent the days reading/drinking/eating poolside. Hector, Javier and Modesto took care of us. Spa was nice (pedicure).
Botton Line: we're already planning a return trip.

Thought it would be helpful for you to get some
feedback from me on Zoetry and our 3 night stay last week.
By category here goes:
1. Location- excellent as it is not down in town
on Medano beach but rather along the corridor next to the
Hilton to the north and their sister property, Dreams, to
the south. Removed from the highway so there is NO traffic
noise or visual distraction of cars, buses and
2. Size- just 42 rooms or suites so that there
is an intimate feel to the property. The staff knows your
name immediately.
3. Hotel- clean, spotless with two pools that we
enjoyed and an excellent spa facility. The design is like an
old hacienda with large double door entry into a courtyard
where reception is handled. From there, the architecture
opens up onto a large landscaped pool and an ocean below you
slightly down the hillside.
4. Secure- there are no bracelets to wear at
this all inclusive but there is no access for
5. Suite- lavish, comfortable, far better than
the pics on their website with two large screen tvs, two air
conditioning controls and zones, in room wet bar with
unlimited beverages (bottled waters, alcoholic and
non-alcoholic drinks and mixes).
6. Service- certainly on the level of the best we
have ever enjoyed. From the pool bar, they cut down coconuts
from the palm trees and brought us fresh (that minute)
coconut drinks. All of the staff are super
7. Meals- superb! We had dinner two nights on
the sand lit by torches next to the ocean with excellent
choices. NO buffets which was excellent from our
perspective. No serve yourself.
8. Room Service- wow, fast, exceptional and
always exactly as ordered and 24 hours a
9. Pools- clean, warm, modern with swim up bar
area. Nice music but not intrusive. An adults only pool down
on the beach with a full kitchen for anything you'd like
for lunch and a kid friendly pool far enough away that you
never saw or heard them and their fun.
10. Weddings- they held a wedding there on
Tuesday night which had 35 people and it was awesome to
watch. Fireworks like the 4th of July and music played by
musicians followed by a dj. I mention this as it was special
and you may have friends that would want this.

Honestly, we would return to enjoy this place
again and again. No problems, just fun and privacy and
service. Not like ANY all inclusive I have stayed at
previously. No stumbling drunks, loud or ill behaved guests.

This was definitely a relaxing vacation. The food was decent. Breakfast was amazing. Service at breakfast was par. We did need to remind the waiters a few times for things we had asked. Service by the pool was amazing. Food and drinks brought to the beach chair or pool chair. Dinner was limited but there is the option to go next door to dreams. The ocean is not swimable because of the rip tides. Bed was very comfortable, no iPod dock in the room. Massage was amazing. Golf is nearby and awesome. All in all, as a boutique it is a very relaxing place to go. No entertainment or loud groups/partying.

From the staff, let me name a few : Toni, Juan Diego (JD, so funny!!!), Kennedy, Eddie (loved him!!, he is perfect at what he does!), Cruz (one of our favs!). To the room, ahhhh, it was so peaceful and smelled so incredible! Loved those amenities! To the resort! The resort was simply breathtaking! The website did not lie at all. I had watched the TODAY show and they did a piece on how some resorts take "fake me out pictures" of the resort. We were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived on the resort grounds. Then, the food and drinks! We loved loved loved that the drinks were SO FRESH! You def can tell the difference when a drink is made with fresh fruit vs. sugary concentrate. Well done! I know it can't be easy to prep all that but its WELL WORTH IT! Loved the daily tea and fresh juice too! And the lunches were so fun and laid back to the romantic dinners on the beach and inside at the fancier location.

It was money well spent!
