After some of the reviews I was leary of the timeshare staff harassment. We traveled with members and a group of others and I feel were treated very well. The entertainment staff was excellent and kept us entertained during the day. The two shows we attendend in the evening were good and we thought the staff did a great job. We did not care for the buffetts, but we enjoyed the food at Marco Polos and Panchos for dinner. Make reservations early or you will not get in and will have to eat at the buffetts. We tipped our bartenders and wait staff and were treated very well.

You cannot get it the water because of the undertow so be prepared to swim only in the pool. If you are looking for excitement do the Outdoor adventure zip line tour - we loved it!!

We just returned from a trip in Cabo and were very disappointed. We are members and have always been to Cancun in the past. We traveled with our adult children and close friends, some of whom have been to an all-inclusive resort before. The lack of daily activities at the pool was greatly missed. I guess we just missed the "Perks", coffee bar in the afternoon and free premium bar, etc. The weather was great and the rooms were very clean.

got a great deal on trip/ too good!!! finally arrived after horrible experience with lost luggage/ bone weary/ angry/just wanting our "garden room" we had to be put through another hr. of hardsell for a timeshare ... before we were allowed to check in. We ere told we would not like our room/ but for only the price of another wks" stay..we could get a nice one... our gardenview room overlooked a dirty Mexican back alley.. if it wasn"t for the nausateing smell of paint in our corrider.. we would not have been moved.. we watched this same thing happen to 3 young ladies as well/ nothing was done/ it"s theold get them there& sell them up!! really gives "getting taken"a whole new meaning/we dined out one night at the steakhouse/our check came as we started to eat our salad/ ruined our whole meal/ we complained bitterly about our issues to hotel/ nothing/ travel agent even less// my advice/BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!

The weather hurt our stay here, but the hotel didn't make it any better. We are members of Solaris and usually get great service. We normally stay in Cancun, but wanted to try Cabos for something different. We have not enjoyed the stay. It has been very hot in the hotel, the service has been mediocre at best, and their satisfaction guarantee doesn't apply here. We discussed our disappointment during their hour and half upgrade for members, but they blew us off after realizing we were not interested in upgrading. At this time, I do not recommend going to Cabos. And if your not a hotel person, you like to get out and shop or do other activities, not the place for you.

Stayed in this hotel for a week. Best things are proximity to the airport, ability to walk into town (easy 15 minute stroll) which is a really cute little place with some nice restaurants. The kids club was great, our 3 kids (8, 6, 4) couldn't wait to spend time swimming and hanging out with the very nice staff. The staff also dances in the shows at night and the kids loved seeing some of them on stage.

Food was mediocre at all the restaurants and buffets and not a great selection of wines - not as good as other all-inclusive places - but the service was always friendly and the staff seems very relaxed. You can also easily get to Cabo and other activities. Get a massage on the beach - half the price (or less) of the hotel, and great masseurs. Sunset horse rides were also really great.

Definitely watch out for the very insistent time-share people - they are desperate with low number of travelers - just say NO right from the start, don't show any sign of weakness, they will hound you!

I was a bit leery after reading all of the reviews, but had a wonderful week at the Royal Solaris. Yes they are going to try to sell you a timeshare, but so is everyone else in Cabo. My thirteen and eleven had a great time at the pool and gameroom and the service was excellent. The food was plentiful and very much like a cruise ship. The best meals we had were at the Marco Polo Restaurant; the worst was the Chinese Buffet. Bring plenty of $1 bills for tips.

The room was very nice with a great ocean view. This is my first time to San Jose Del Cabo after going to Cabo San Lucas for many years. I HIGHLY recommend going to San Jose Del Cabo if you have kids. Fewer lewd adults, quiet shops, and overall better atmosphere. I will be returning!

After finding an incredablely good deal and snapping it up immedately, I checked trip advisor and became a little concerned. Normally I avoid time share/ vacation ownership properties like the plague, but I had already commited. Multiple other reviewers noted a "class system" where "owners" were treated better than guests. While there were some relatively subtle differences in the packages, with the exception of one "Luau" they weren't anything that bothered me. Towards the end of the week I found out that many of the timeshare people were paying a "all-inclusive supplement" that was roughly equal to the cost of my trip through my travel agent- let them have their luau, I got a much better deal. We were approached once on check in by the time share sellers, but we didn't fit their demographics (20-50yr old single women) and were never approched again. What did bother me was the fact that we were not allowed to check in or freshen up after a full day of traveling until the salesman did his pitch.
