Since my last visit to San Jose, the Fisherman's Plaza was a new edition, so the chance to try a variety of restaurants was very exciting! My husband and I were on our honeymoon, so we wanted to whole week to be special. The atmosphere of Jazz and Tapas immediately drew us in; the warm and dim lighting, the cozy seating, and the sultry music just seemed to good to ignore. The service was outstanding and the menu was very easy to understand. We were blown away by the tapas sampler to start our meal... and while my husband devoured the surf and turf, I enjoyed the tuna. Excellent food all around.
We returned to Jazz and Tapas twice more on our vacation. Once for coffee and desserts, and on our last night for dinner once again.
Wonderful restaurant and wonderful service. Highly recommended.

Impressive menu of exciting tapas. We enjoyed the skewered shrimp & sausage, the spanish torta and the asparagus wrapped with prosciutto in filo dough.

Didn't want a big dinner so ordered the sampler tapas plate for dinner to split and it was great! Asparagus wrapped prosciutto, onion, sun dried tomato, goat cheese bruschetta, spanish spicy sausage, warm potato bites and more. The restaurant is not air conditioned so don't go on a super hot day but it was fun and a good place to watch a sports event too. The jazz part is in the wall art--not in the music they play-it is more current music.

Menu was full. Good drinks and there was lots to choose from. Families were there and kids were having no problems finding things to eat.

First off, the staff out front to greet/solicit your business, as you walk down this unexpected part of San Jose, has the best smiles in all San Jose, which drew me in. Augustine, our server could not stop smiling as he served us the best tapas I've had since Barcelona. He talked it's through his favorites which did not dissapoint, from the Spanish Tortilla to the Chistorra (a phenomenal cheese and sausage dish), each dish was phenomenal. Thank you Augustine and Jazz's for a memorable dinner and we'll see you in October

Two stars for the guacamole, which was very good. The service, however, was simply horrible. We went on a Tuesday night in late-April and less than half the tables were occupied. We ordered the guacamole and the Tapas Sampler, which was average at best. A very basic order. Total time from start to finish: almost two hours. The staff seemed more concerned about wooing people to their restaurant than waiting on their customers. Maybe we went on a very bad night for the staff, but maybe not.
