“Great resort - had a relaxing, enjoyable time.”

Cabo Azul is a beautiful resort with top notch accommodations, dining and pool. You can walk to the ocean but swimming is not recommended. You can walk for miles on the beach although you will be approached by many vendors along the way. :-) The resort has three inifinity pools that flow one into the next. Actually, the water temp is different in each one too. We stayed in the warmest one the majority of the time. :-) The lounge chairs were awesome, very thick comfortable pads, second to none that I've experienced before. We went Thanksgiving weekend for a week and the resort was very quiet.
Happy Hour each day at the pool bar was 2 for the price of one drinks which was a nice deal. Otherwise, the bar is a bit pricey, as all the resorts are. The resort has a decent fitness center but it is deep in the complex - no view and quite secluded. The spa is very pricey so we did not use it. I would have loved to have a massage but just too pricey for me. Our room was great and the room service was fantastic. We had one of the cheapest rooms which just meant the view was not great (parking lot in our case), but we didn't spend much time in our room so it didn't matter that much. There is a very nice Mexican restaurant on the resort with fantastic food but with is quite pricey. However, there is also a very nice coffee shop/sandwich bar which is open long hours so you can get reasonable priced food any time of the day. This is also where there are PCs where you can use the internet for free. There is free wireless internet by the pool too which was very nice.
As far as restaurants, there are a few within walking distance, if you don't mind walking at least half to 3/4 mile. If you take a cab, it only costs about $5 each way which is much cheaper than Cabo San Lucas. I like the Cabo San Jose area much better than the hectic pace of Cao San Lucas which made this resort even more enjoyable to us. This was our second stay at the resort. I would recommend it if you want a nice quiet, beautiful place to get away for R & R. I just read the review by "mollyandfamily_12" and agree with the majority of what was stated.

Room Tip: The cheapest room will get you a parking lot view. Ours was right over the front entrance area so w...

We had a great overall experience in this resort. The hotel is amazing; the pools are great and the villas breathtaking (just like in the pictures). The restaurants have delicious options and the SPA has the best relaxing treatments.
The staff is super friendly and always knows your name; they are available to help you with anything.
You can always go to Cabo San Lucas to bathe in the sea and other activities because the beach in front of the hotel is no swimming allowed.
We went there on our honeymoon and I would recommend this resort to anyone.

Room Tip: Rooms with a view are great! We had villa 2204 and no sounds at all..

Gorgeous resort, comfortable, clean, stylish, incredible shower and spa tub, nice full kitchen. Helpful staff and concierge. No swimmable beach off the resort. Pool stunning and warm. Lush grounds. Twenty minute ride to Cabo San Lucas.

Room Tip: Definitely pay up for an ocean view room. Our balcony and the view of the Pacific was a real treat...

We adored our time at Cabo Azul and would definitely stay there again. We shared a 2 bd villa with another couple and found them to be very spacious and well appointed. We appreciated having our own kitchen where where saved $ by making our own breakfasts and many cocktails. The restaurant food was terrific but pricey, as were the cocktails ($16 for a margarita!). There was a daily happy hour at 3 when tacos and drinks were more reasonable. We took advantage of the spa and found it on par with other 5 star resorts that we have enjoyed. The staff were helpful and friendly. The 3 pools are heated different temperature and the swim up bar made for easy refills! The pool closed a little earlier than I would've liked. We took the time share tour offered to us at check in and we were so in love with the property that we actually considered it for a brief moment or two. The sales people did not pressure us as promised and we appreciated the 400 room credit that they gave all four if us to participate. There weren't many kids running around, but it is family friendly.

Friendly, clean, staff was the best, rooms to die for and view to die for. Our only dissapointment was that we couldn't swim at the beach because of riptides so with 3 beautiful infinity pools we soon forgot about the beach. Cabo Azul Resort is definately on our RETURN TO list. The actual was actually nices than the pictures. Which is no usually the case.
