Great atmosphere. We were there for lunch on a saturday on the patio. They didn't have everything on the menu we wanted but what they did have was fantastic. The homemade cheese plate was a must! Amazing snapper, octopus, and tuna. Would definitely go back.

What can I say. The food was outstanding. The ambiance was amazing. The service was beyond reproach and the story behind this gem goes something like this: it's been in their family for 3 generations and they make their own cheese. It's family owned and operated and I'm going back! 'Nuff said.

I always hesitate to write a bad review, however this is warranted. We (6) made reservations for 7:00 on Christmas Eve. When we arrived we were excited ... beautiful setting in an semi-outdoor area ... excellent solo guitar player. I should note that at this point the restaurant was only about 1/2 full. Ordered cocktails .. about 15 minutes later they asked us what wine we wanted ... at this time we also ordered our apps and other courses ... 10 minutes later our wine arrived and was opened ... our cocktails hadn't arrived yet and didn't for another 5 minutes (almost 30 minutes for 3 cocktails and 1 scotch). 5 things that were on the menu and we asked for they did not have (bone marrow, spinach, etc ... they didn't even have any butter for the bread). Then the wait continued ... 45 minutes later I asked to speak to the manager as 1 hour had passed since we ordered and no food had come ... we were out of water and wine and not once had they come by to ask if we wanted more. There was no language problem to blame it on because I am a Spanish native speaker. Instead of simply saying that they were sorry and that they would do their best, the manager goes into this long winded explanation about how everything is prepared to order so the dishes take time, etc ... we could understand that but not for a cheese and meat plate that at this point had taken over an hour to come for the table. The final insult was that when the main courses did come out, only 5 of the 6 made it ... when the 6th showed up (lamb) it was ice cold. They did take 10% off the bill (not enough in my opinion). The sad part about it was that the food was quite tasty and original ... but not enough to compensate for ruining our Christmas Eve meal.

For a great meal at a reasonable price, this is the place to visit. The food is delicious and the ambience is perfect for everyone. I only gave four stars because they were out of many things when we visited. They said that they only order the freshest ingredients so it has to be done in small batches. I was disappointed not to try the bone marrow since they were out of it. Nonetheless, for yummy food and in a delightful environment, please visit Casa Don Rodrigo.
