We (a family of 7 & 2 dogs) enjoyed a week in The Moorings & Sandy Nook. All our needs were met & the glorious weather was a bonus. Both properties are well equipped with comfortable beds & crisp linen. Lots of quirky touches throughout the accommodation adds to the uniqueness of this 'upside down' property. We enjoyed watching the world go by from the balcony, dining al fresco or relaxing with a holiday read.
Hope Cove is a beautiful location for a holiday in South Devon. Lots to explore in the area but you could easily spend a week enjoying the local area on foot.
There are 2 beaches in Hope Cove, only one dog friendly in peak season but a fifteen minute walk along the coastal path brings you to a fantastic (National Trust) beach where dogs can can have a good run/swim. Visit the Gastro Bus in the top car park. Or walk a bit further in the same direction to Bantham with its vast expanse of beach with great views of Burgh Island in the distance.
Dining out in Hope Cove is easy with good food in both of the pubs (preferred The Cove) or stock up on quality meat from the butcher in Salcombe (a very short drive away) & cook on the barbecue.
Be mindful of the narrow lanes when driving around.
Thoroughly recommend this accommodation in its perfect location!
