Very quiet when we visited on a Monday aftenoon, with pretty views of the beach. Would be a nice place for a picnic, especially from the top of the hill next to the beach. This is the sort of place to go when you want to avoid crowds and want to be surrounded by beautiful landscapes.

We stopped off here on the way back from Salcombe to Dawlish having seen the reviews. It's a spot of absolute beauty and the views out to sea are awesome. Parking is quite limited although there isa pay and display car park at the bottom of the hill

Two beaches very close to each other (inner and outer) inner allow dogs on leads and is more sandy, outer no dogs in the summer months and a bit more rocky. Outer has some brilliant rock pools accessible at low tide. Beaches both very clean... couple of eateries nearby but no fish and chip shop, which would be nice.

We decided to visit Hope cove a lovely location set on coastal route path. One big disappointment was the visual sight of faecal matter and the strong smell of sewage in a large pool on the harbour side of breakwater. Apparently there is a main sewage pipe that discharges 125 metres out to sea on the seaward side of the breakwater. I can only assume that on the previous high tide there had been a sewage discharge where a quantity of sewage had been trapped in a large pool on the harbour side of the breakwater. We did start to walk along the breakwater but the stench was just to much. I wouldn't want to be alarmist but would be extremely concerned if the children playing on that beach had entered that shallow pool of water. Local parish please be aware.

I have been looking for a gem if a beach, able to sit and read a book.

It was busy but you can see the potential for a relaxing holiday.

Car parking is very strict, so watching the clock on a short stay was necessary.

Lots of places to eat and a great little group of shops.

Have to visit next time for longer. A holiday visit and some great locations to relax with a book, listening to time go by.
