We ate here last night. The decor is dated but charming. One can watch the sunset from the bar. We had an excellent meal and the dessert trolley was laden with sweet temptations. We were invited to retire to the lounge for coffee. It was an enjoyable experience and reasonably priced. We would eat here again.

We stayed here for 3 nights DB&B. and my partner and I enjoyed every meal, the service was excellent. Each night there was plenty of choice and the food was well presented. The portions were ample and we were offered the chance to 'rest' between courses! My gluten free diet was well looked after, with a copy of the days menu ready on the table marked up with my gf choices. Watching the sun set over the sea just completed the occasion.

Smallish family run Hotel, quite dated in decor and furnishing, but that's how it's meant to be. very welcoming staff and excellent service. Public rooms warm and friendly,
.Restaurant laid out with taste. we chose from the 2courses for £11.50. The soup was delicious, thick and lots of it ! The main course was cooked well but not especially exciting, not much veg (plated 5 sprouts and a few pieces of carrots) A good selection of desserts,I had baked vanilla cheesecake, nicely presented but a little too stiff, maybe just come out of the fridge ?
All in all our visit was very acceptable. Probably not a weekday lunch venue frequented by many but we were attended to as being important.

This hotel has the most amazing sea views and an amazing position above outer hope cove.
We have been here for a Sunday roast lunch several times as a large 4 generation family group.
Entering the hotel feels like stepping back thirty years - The decor is chintzy, heavy and old fashioned but this is part of the appeal. My parents love it there because the food is not over spicy or 'modern' and for that reason we are 'safe' to go there for a sunday lunch without fear that somebody will dislike all the menu options. The food is not amazing but it is good value and the choices are ample.

I can imagine it is a lovely place to stay with a young family for a traditional bucket and spade summer holiday. As we live only half an hour away this idea hasn't tempted us but we do love the area the hotel is situated in.

The service is good and the owner is friendly and chatty and makes sure everyone is served and happy during the meal. After the three courses are finished there are several cosy indoor sitting areas and a long terrace overlooking the coves, beach and the sea. On a sunny day this is the ideal place to enjoy the pot of tea or coffee which comes in with the price for the set lunch menu.

Spent a night at the hotel. Bottle of prosseco, 5 course meal, full breakfast and sea view with balcony all for £50 per person. Fab value. Staff really helpful and a lovely open fire for chilling.
