Stayed here for two nights as we were attending a wedding in the area. First impressions were not great as we entered our room there was alot of building work noise from above us. Reception said the owners we redoing a room on the top level. After a 4 hour drive we had hoped to relax but it was impossible so we went to explore the area. On return at 5.30 it had stopped. The flowing day there was music from above us but not as bad as the banging.
Otherwise it's a great little hotel. Out room had be refurbished and was clean although very compact. The ensure was tiny but the shower was nice and powerful. The view from the room over the beach was beautiful. The bed was comfy and we slept quite well. WiFi in the room was not very good but in reception perfect. There is no phone signal at all here which with two young kids at home with grandma was hard. But reception kindly let me use the phone on arrival to check in and let them know the situation.
Breakfast was nice and the view from the dinning room was stunning. The price paid seemed reasonable for this corner of the country. A lovely little spot with stunning walks and beaches right on your doorstep.

A real treat today. Went for an afternoon tea, lovely assortment of sandwiches, mouth watering cakes and one of the best scones, jam and cream I've ever had. All with a lovely pot of tea. Made to feel very welcome from the minute we arrived even though we were a bit earlier than planned. Thank you all very much

Myself and my boyfriend came to stay for 4 days in the summer and had a lovely time! The breakfast was great and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. There is a bar within the hotel which is good in the evenings. Would definitely recommend.

The high tea at the Sun Bay is excellent. A beautifully presented tea delivered by happy, charming staff. How refreshing! Delicious, generously filled sandwiches, fresh warm scones, home made cakes - an all round 5-star experience. And a lovely location - a real treat.
