“Worse than expected”
Reviewed 28 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Two sides to this break, the accommodation and the entertainment / facilities at Coopers Beach. Booked a Gold Standard caravan, which was entirely as expected, reasonable accommodation, clean and warm. Main drawback, the fridge was a small under counter type, which meant that we had to make several trips out of park to collect fresh food, and being 10 miles + from any decent sized shops meant this got irritating very quickly.
Entertainment / facilities at Coopers Beach were not as expected at all, we have stayed at numerous camps of all sizes over the years, this one didn't rate highly at all.
Shop: - Small for size of camp, carries basics, do not expect to get any reasonable amount of shopping here - hence our numerous trips out.
Arcade: tired, old machines, not much variety, main Gents toilet hidden away behind three broken arcade machines, felt a bit time warped in there!
Restaurant: Where do we begin, ate in there 3 times, should have learned after the first time! Table we sat at was dirty, arms sticking to it, cleaned it ourselves with wipes, they were black when we finished. Ordered 4 meals, fish and chips was ok, and gammon was also ok. However, paying £10.20 for a Steak Pie that was actually the size of an individual Pork Pie was not impressive, nor was the 'half' chicken we ordered, which turned out to be possibly the smallest chicken we had ever seen. We are not big eaters, but 3 out of four of us were still hungry when we finished.
Next day we tried the breakfast, £5.50 sounded reasonable for a Traditional, cleaned the table again of course, waited 45 minutes until it came out - the bar area really wasn't busy so couldn't see why, the breakfasts were 'warm' when they arrived, the mushrooms were burnt to the point of being sour when you taste them, really wasn't a good experience again. We tired one more time on the last evening, main meal again, we ordered Cottage Pies, Fajitas and Pizza. Terrible all round to be honest, Pizza still had unmelted cheese on top, and had pineapple chunks from a tin sprinkled over, cottage pies were child portions, they were supposed to come with carrots and peas - no carrots, and no explanation why either! Fajita was overcooked again, came with a small amount of salad, 2 tortillas and - no sour cream! Again, no reason why it was left off. £27.00 for that lot, we all felt hungry after finishing, restaurant would not even get a 1 star in my book.
Entertainment: Understaffed is the biggest issue, the whole appearance screams disorganised, bar was dirty again, arms sticking to it when ordering, no friendly, welcoming atmosphere at all - No need to go on, will not be going back unless park gets a major overhaul. Park Resorts need to get some 'mystery guests' onsite to review first hand, entertainment experience was poor.

“Swimming pool”
Reviewed 11 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Had an excellent time at swimming pool thanks to the life guards Nick and Michael. Girls loved the ball and boats. Thankyou.

“Weekend break”

What a lovely break! This holiday home is simply divine- the natural décor coupled with the scenic surroundings made for a romantic getaway at the weekend. The property is snug and warm (from the electric fire as well as the heating); the master bed offers an exceptional night's sleep-very comfortable indeed; the kitchen offers everything needed to cook an entire meal. There is plenty of cupboard space for those all important clothes and shoes and all a stone's throw from the seafront. An absolutely lovely way to spend a few days or longer.

Colchester town is not that far away, within easy driving distance and provided us with something to do during the day; there are plenty of eateries/bars to keep you entertained. West Mersea offers a very friendly pub (The Fox Inn) where one can enjoy a game of footie over a drink whilst chatting to the locals

All in all this was a fantastic break.
