Absolutely lovely accommodation. Everything you could possibly want was provided. There was also lots of information about the local area/amenities.The owners were welcoming and helpful. Surrounding area was pleasant, plenty to do and see.

The accommodation is new, clean and fresh. Large bedroom with plenty of storage, beautiful ensuite shower room, kitchen equipped with everything you need. Small courtyard garden, own entrance and driveway. The owners have gone out of their way to provide thoughtful extras such as picnic rug, disposable BBQ, cushions for garden furniture etc. - we didn't cook whilst staying there but the kitchen was very well equipped with pans, baking trays and utensils. The accommodation is situated in a quiet road that leads down to the beach, and is a pleasant walk or short drive from the pubs, coffee shops and town centre of West Mersea. We would recommend this lovely accommodation.

Oakleaves is a gem. The facilities provided are first class and can not be faulted. The location of the property allows for a quiet and peacefull break, whilst at the same time being near enough to the sea front. Good off road parking is also provided.

“Outstanding”

Spent two lovely nights in this perfect rental. Lovely big comfortable bed, very clean and well equiped. More like a mini house than an apartment. Own entrance, own off street parking and very quite location. Sue and Colin have made a real effort in getting this little gem just right and what a lovely friendly couple they are too. We walked the whole Island in a day thirteen and half miles and not a sole to see past Cudmore. It was a chilly day so a hot shower, warm room and a take away supper of fish & chips. A perfect stay. We will return. Thanks

“Excellent Accommodation”

Found this accommodation through Trip Advisor whilst looking for somewhere to stay on Mersea Island. The previous reviews were very favourable so we made our booking. From our arrival Sue was very friendly and gave us good advice about the area. The accommodation was immaculate, a real home from home, spotlessly clean and everything brand new, with fluffy luxurious towels and bathrobes provided. There is a little courtyard garden which again is immaculate and a real sun trap. It is only a short walk to the beach. Would definately recommend this accommation.

“Simply superb!”

Lovely, modern, clean and well-maintained accommodation. Although part of the owners' house the apartment felt very private with our own little driveway, front door and enclosed patio area. The owners had thought about almost everything to make a holiday rental as comfortable and trouble-free as possible. Everything worked and items supplied included an iron and ironing board, washing up liquid, guide books, a range of pans, glasses and kitchen implements. There were also some welcoming provisions such as a bottle of milk, instant coffee, tea bags and biscuits.

The location was peaceful but in five minutes you could walk down to the beach front. It's about twenty minutes to the heart of West Mersea with its various businesses including shops and restaurants. We really enjoyed our short stay on Mersea Island and Oakleaves made it extra special.

A very well presented, light and airy apartment with it's own courtyard. Very comfortable and
of a high standard. Good location for exploring up the coast and surrounding areas. Good walks. The owners were very kind and helpful.
