We have eaten here three times in the last two or three months and on each occasion we have enjoyed excellent food and good service. I didn't like calamari until I tried them here - delicious - they are now on our starter list every time we go. The menu is extensive and there are always several specials. There can be hiccups of course - my wife didn't rate the vegetarian tikka masala on one occasion but an alternative was offered without any fuss. Overall then a good experience enhanced for us by the fact that if you eat in the bar area you can take your dog.

We enjoyed a tasty dinner here followed by a delicious cheesecake that had just been made. All the food was evidently home-cooked and was beautifully presented. As a vegetarian, there was a reasonable choice. Attentive and friendly service, a nice, busy atmosphere and tasteful decor. Would recommend and return.

Been to this pub over the last two years when on holiday in Devon. This year it has been updated internally with plush sleek furniture and decor and with a great choice of drinks too, however since last year the menu has not been updated to fit the Times.

The food here is simple and over priced and service is not too good aswell, apart from the grub it's worth a few ciders on a summer's evening if you're passing.

Having read reviews we were a little unsure, but shouldn't of been, absolutely lovely. Our only concern was time till food arrived from ordering, but boy was worth the wait, the best most tasty scampi i've had in a long time, plenty and lovely chips and peas, the salad was gorgeous with a tasty honey mustard dressing, pete had the lovely home made steak and kidney pie and veg and loved it, mum had the potatoe and leek home made soup with bread, we saw other things arrive at peoples tables and all looked gorgeous especially the cheese board.. ws very tempted but full... would deffinately eat here again, well done and keep it up
