“Comfy beds, great conservatory and kitchen, a lovely place to stay.”
Reviewed 17 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We had a fantastic week, a great place to stay. Very clean. We all loved the conservatory. Bedrooms were nice with comfy beds.
Nice walk to Chanonry point to watch the dolphins. Cafe and restaurant in walking distance.

This cottage is ideally situated close to the beach and various walks including to Chanonry Point for dolphin watching. The cottage is spacious, clean, well equipped and the owner is very helpful and accommodating.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rowan Cottage. It was so spacious, airy, cosy and clean. It was like home from home.Everything was in the cottage that you could possibly need for a weeks holiday. It was in an ideal location for visiting many places of interest and also great walks on the beautiful beach. We also had a lovely welcoming text message from Karen(who cleans the Cottage)to make sure we had arrived at the cottage. This was our first visit to Rowan Cottage and will definately not be our last.

“luxurious holiday cottage”
Reviewed 27 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

Rowan cottage is exeptionally clean and cosy, convenently near the Spar and also near shops in Fortrose (15 mins. walk), also very near the bus stop for the bus to Inverness (30 mins.). Two mins. walk to the beach. An ideal combination of "in the countryside, but not isolated", and yet, so near Inverness. The fact, that there is public transport every hour or so, means, I do not have to depend on a car. Lovely walks for hours along the beach or up the hill. Although the cottage is on the main road to Cromarty, the traffic noise is only during rush hours, otherwise it is quiet. I liked Rowan Cottage very much and would certainly recommend it.

“Second Stay this Year”
Reviewed 15 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

Returned to stay for another all too short week at this ideally located cottage in Rosemarkie. We were here last Jsnuary ( 2015). Rosemarkie has one of the cleanest stunning beaches in Scotland, and we made full use of it daily walking with our Irish Terrier again!

The cottage remains fresh and welcoming, everything you could need is provided. Unlimited hot water, central heating when and as you require.

Rosemarkie has a micro climate which seems to always defy Scotlsnd's inclement weather most days you will manage to defy poor weather which would be otherwise affecting much of The area.

Car parking is on a public car park behind the cottage although you csn tenporarilly psrk on the roadside unloading/loading your car before parking it about 150 metres away. Bear that in mind.

Bedrooms - a twin and a double and one of the two bathrooms are upstairs, you have two living rooms as well as a well fitted kitchen and dining area off that in the conservstory which looks out onto the small enclosed garden to the rear of the property.
