“super seafood dishes”
Reviewed 20 April 2012

We had been to the Crofters a few years ago and found it excellent. Wonderful to return and find it is still of the same high standard, lovely dishes on offer such as scallops with chorizo and black pudding, langoustines with chilli oil. All wonderfully fresh with fresh salads and homemade breads.
We would cetainly recommend the bistro to any one staying in the Black Isle area.

“Couldn't fault this restaurant”
Reviewed 5 April 2012

We have been to this sea front restaurant in Rosemarkie in the Black Isle several times but this was our best meal yet. Lovely fresh fish on menu of the day, cooked beatifully. Staff were very friendly and overall we had a lovely evening. No dolphins to see but you can't have everything!

“good food with a good view over the bay”
Reviewed 9 January 2012

You can eat really good food whilst watching the bay for dolphins
The dolphins actually come in close to shore so spotting them is a definite possibility
Staff in restaurant are friendly and helpful
atmosphere is peaceul and relaxed
if you have a touring caravan / tent or motorhome there is a good site nearby

“What a great find!”
Reviewed 20 September 2011

We popped up to Rosemarkie to do some dolphin spotting while on holiday in the highlands.

I got a recommendation for Crofters Bistro from my sister who lives locally. Firstly it's in a great location on the seafront. We recieved a warm welcome and a booster seat was quickly produced for our toddler (read child friendly!)

The food was well above average, I had mussels followed by a venison burger, both were excellent. My wife had a seafood platter which was huge and very tasty, she was going to have the fish and chips but mentioned that she was stuffed after the starter, the main was promptly cancelled with no fuss!

I think it is rare to find a resurant that can do light snacks, cream teas and full meals equally well, this place seems to excell at all of them!! (we are both quite fussy!)

The friendly service was the icing on the cake, well done guys.
